I got the headlightservices harness for my '99 4runner. You just need the ground switched harness and you should be good to go. I paid for an extra relay to trigger off the highbeam relay for my driving lights.

Do you know how long these headlights will stay not cloudy? I just got some myself and was wondering that haha

Aftermarket headlights won’t last as long as OEM, but it also depends on where you live. Arizona for example will be harder on the headlights than somewhere up north. You can add UV protective coatings to them though to help extend their life.

I dunno, Crash. I think 7+ months of Salt Spray, rock & gravel are pretty tough on ‘em too. Mine are on the fade. The dealer prep Kid “Polished” mine before I picked the truck up. Had I known, I would have kicked his ass. Tryin’ to get a Pro OEM set is down right impossible.

Wasn’t new. Original owner two time lease return. Yup, found out when they started fading.

Still shitty of them not to say. I assume they started hazing quickly due to not being topcoated.

That’s when I asked the service dept. while there on an unrelated matter. Was right pissed when I left. Haven’t been back since.

Certainly other environmental factors come into play, I was specifically referring to UV. That is unfortunate on the polishing as once abrasively polished, UV is an ongoing battle.

Having issues getting them shipped to Canada? Looks like there are several Pro lights on ebay.ca.

Does anyone have a PDF of the Headlight Services install instructions? I just bought a second-hand set from a member and while it seems fairly plug-n-play I'd love to see actual instructions before I pop the hood.

You don't really need instructions. The one "trigger" plug connects to the existing female driver's plug. The 2 harness plugs connect to the headlights, then you tape up the old passenger side female plug. Then red get power directly off the battery however you like and black to body ground.

    Cute pooch!

    1. Disconnect both H4 bulbs
    2. Plug harness H4 females (2) into bulbs (option to replace bulbs at this time or later)
    3. Plug harness H4 male into OEM H4 female
    4. Mount relays on an existing bolt (or possible zip tie)
    5. Using electrical tape, cover the OEM H4 female which you did not use in step 3
    6. Connect ground to an existing ground point within reach of the black ground loop
    7. Inspect fuse and confirm it is intact
    8. Connect red loop to +12v battery terminal
    9. Zip tie harness to any nearby points to keep it away from fans, belts, sources of heat, etc.

That's what I needed thanks. And the pupper isn't going to help at all. He just sits in the garage and silently judges my work.

But it's so white. Y'know, how about a little color? I'm thinking maybe some crimson, chartreuse. How about yellow? No, not yellow...

I can relate. I have a goose that supervises my work and is highly critical AND vocal about it......

Yep. Five years ago he just showed up and waited at the gate of the barnyard to be let in. He's been with us ever since. Beside being my outside supervisor, he does double duty as outside security.
