IIRC manufactures are legally required to provide OEM replacement parts 10 years after production ends. Meaning they are no longer required to provide parts for 2011 models, hence no longer producing TSB lights. Toyota could then supersede the pre-TSB part after inventory ran out on the fixed TSB model. Just a theory anyway. But if the pre-TSB lights have superseded the TSB lights, that means they are no longer making the TSB lights and most likely have no intention to resume production.

Last I saw power bulbs was not shipping to the USA. You can get the bulbs from Headlight Services domestically.

Heyo! I have an 06 Taco - Does anyone know where I can find OEM smoked lights? I bought my truck with aftermarket headlights and they are absolute crap :).......Need to get these updated asap so I don't die at night.

I super appreciate @crashnburn80 dedication to the thread and writing up the original post of instructions - It seems like a lot of us have gotten a good amount of value from this info.

The OEM part numbers are listed in the first post.

    OEM 2005-2011 smoked headlights:
These are like the Pro lights, but came on select Sport models. These are the updated TSB version of the lights that do not have the melting DRL issue.

So excited to finally get this done. Have some TRD Pro headlights arriving this week, just need to order the harness and bulbs. Thanks to @crashnburn80 and all the other contributing members.

Will post pics and first impressions once I get it done.

I post this every so often because it's useful, so not aiming it at just you, donpapadaupolis, but be sure to aim your headlights carefully to ensure the best vision for You, and the least glare for oncoming traffic.

^^^Best resource to correctly aim your headlamps, fogs and driving lights if you do not have access to an optical beamsetter.

Finally finished my truck's lighting. (For now...) Got the harness, OG headlights installed, and my Osram 100/90s installed and it blow me away. Put some halogens back in the fogs as well and it looks killer. Going to eventually order some diode dynamics fog lights in the future.

Thank you for the educational write-up.

I know the front page stays relatively updated.

My bulbs are going out quicker than normal. Not sure if I got a bad batch or perhaps I need to trouble shoot my harness. Was thinking new fuses? Battery is new. I’m not a big electric guy.

what’s everyone running for bulbs currently?
How about shipping times from power bulbs?
I’ve had great service with them in the past even when my order hit delays about a year ago.

things that cause lamps to burn out:
over-powered (alternator spiking or running high)
vibration/shock when hot (bad manufacturing or very bad suspension)
oxygen getting in (gas leak/bad manufacturing)
