HeadlightServices, drivers side. I don't feel it was anything on the part, more of me being a knucklehead and too aggressive with the wiggling, trying to unplug the old bulb. It definitely had a kung fu grip on the old light. But as long as it functions like it's supposed to, I won't worry.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the utter incompetence of the engineer who decided that was the perfect spot for the washer fluid reservoir.

LOL. Pray you never accidentally pop the passenger retainer spring off. Getting that spring back on was the closest I’ve even been to burning my truck to the ground.

haha glad I'm not the only one. I've been unbolting mines and leaning it off to the side.

So the LEDs I installed had the heat sink fan on the back. The boot had to go on first, then the bulb in the housing, then finagle the spring in. I was seriously looking at how to remove the reservoir, I have a bunch of washer fluid.... The driver side (especially with the battery removed) is a piece of cake, it's just to prepare you for the hell that is the passenger side

All my stuff came today :woot:. And it's 12 degrees out and the truck doesn't fit in the garage so it's gonna stay on my work bench for a bit :(. First world problems.

Lol, but your headlights would defrost faster at 148+ degrees, or hotter if you are running the 90w. :)

Don't care :D. You have a better chance of getting pregnant than finding me working on my truck in this weather unless it's some emergency. It's never been too hot for me (you'll usually fine me on my bicycle on such days), but it's too cold often.

Okay, so despite my previously mentioned aversion to the cold, I braved the elements today and made some measurements for a bracket to install the relays on. With some scrap aluminium sheet I had around I was able to make not one but three brackets. It will mount to the rad support by drilling two holes, and the relays will mount to the bracket. To thank him for his many group buys he's set up for us here I'm giving @Unchained 5150 dibs on one if he wants, the other one goes to whoever posts up an I'll take it and pms me their mailing info (conus only please). Price including shipping will be free. As in no cost. Free. Figure I can just through it in an envelope. I'll send them out next week, I have to paint them first. You will have to provide your own small nuts and bolts to mount.

Hmmmmm I don't know if I can afford this overinflated price. I will have to check with my accountant and get back to you.

I would take one but @GHOST SHIP made this one for me to attach to the battery holder. It is all painted in black now.

Welp, just finished mine up as it was getting dark using the Susquehanna Motorsports harness.
-Install was pretty straight forward, removed my battery to make it easier on the driver side.
-You guys weren't kidding about the passenger side...wow that was a pain.
-It's hard to get the bulbs in the first time into the new plugs. I used my old bulb and put it in a few times which helped.

The lights are pretty impressive. The low beams are what shocked me the most with just how bright they are. I got flashed coming to a stop sign but not sure if that's because the person was telling me to go or bitching about brightness? We'll see. I used my original housing but to me it seems the cutoff line is higher, probably just brighter.

One question I have is right after install I went to the carwash, got back and opened up the hood to see how wet everything would get. I have my fusses and relays just in front of the battery for now and they got pretty wet. Is this okay? Anything to do about this?

Thanks again for the awesome write up @crashnburn80

I got flashed often with the LEDs but not once yet with the full upgrade. Flash em back, the brights will light up their world. I've only gotten to use my brights a couple times, holy only is that a huge difference
