RICK I think you got the 100/90
    Nothing wrong with them
@crashnburn80 was going back to the 85/80 just wondering where he got them.

But are the 110/90's bad to go with since he is going back to the 85/80?

I purchased from Rallylights because I needed other parts from them for a different project. Their shipping charges are high, so I wouldn’t buy bulbs alone there. PowerBulbs doesn’t carry them.

That’s a good price. Headlight Services also carries them, but I don’t think that cheap.

You didn’t waste money, the 100/90w has better high beam output, and far more output than stock. However, after looking at both bulbs after ~200 hours of use the 85/80w have notably better low beam output. I don’t have any 85/80w left to compare new, but I can when I get them in.

Tail lights and interior lights so far but I'm looking to go LEDs all the way around. I like the hood light strip and I'm considering it.
Well Sir, although I appreciate that bit of advice I may have misspoken or overlooked that info. What I was meaning to state was that there are over 900 comments on the thread and didn't have the time after reading well over 50 or so to wait and see if the specific question I had had already been answered via another comment. I mean no disrespect and wouldn't be asking if I didn't have some confidence in his wealth of knowledge and time of study in the matter. I am not real computer savvy and don't know how to look up specific quotes as you put up there and I thank you for the "Welcome to the Forum" I hope to be able to learn from you as well.

Thank You sir, I'm glad you understood my comment and didn't take any unintended offense to it. Thank you for all the information.

I updated the main thread with:
-Nicer links to look cleaner vs posting the raw link
-Links to the Headlight Services build quality posted by @Mudman
-Links to the Headlight Services ground switched harness, listed as for a 4Runner
-Notes the the 2005-2011 smoked headlights linked are the updated TSB version
-Updated stock wattage recommendations to the latest versions of Philips Xtreme +130 and Nightbreaker laser +130 (previously the best was +110)
-Comparison link to the Philips vs Volsa on the 1st Gen (posted recently)
-Comparison link to updating poor condition fogged headlights + Volsas on 1st Gen (posted recently)
-Added a 'Shopping list' at the end of the thread to consolidate what to purchase and where. I've received numerous requests for this.

I'll update the comparison of 100/90w Super Brights vs 85/80w Hypers once I have new versions of each to compare.

    I don't think I missed anything.

No, not at all. The 85/80s have a better low beam, but they're more money. Iirc - 100/90s are $13 each, 85/80s are $20 each.

We all know how quickly bulbs burn out. You have spares, not wasted money. Not worth stressing over.

They're the same price if you buy a pair. Headlight Services gets $20 per bulb, but charges shipping. Candlepower gets $24 for one, or $40 for a pair, and free shipping. As you suggest, and I agree, replace in pairs when one burns out. So Candlepower for the win.

I believe those are Hella or equivalent. Bulb life is 40hrs, compared to 200hrs for the Osrams I recommend. That extra wattage gets you 3400 lumens vs 2900 lumens from the Osrams. Not worth the life penalty IMO.

    You can see specs here:
    http://www.rallylights.com/h-412-hella-h4-9003-hb2-12volt-halogen-bulb.html

I’ve done lots of searching to balance bulb life vs output. The 2 I recommend have the best balance IMO providing increased output while still maintaining reasonable bulb life. Most other brands are at 150hrs or less for the Osram output levels.

For the XZE H4s you are looking at:
    150/50hrs low/high
    910/1500 lumens low/high
    4200k color temp

Too bad you are so far away. Would be quick to hammer out in my toasty heated garage. 40 degrees outside.
