Is that a thermometer/weather station, or your thermostat? Either way, what's the brand and model?

It is and indoor hygrometer and thermometer. Nothing too fancy but I like to have specs on the garage conditions for projects that require specific temperature ranges, and because who doesn’t like specs? I got this one because it has a 24hr min/max recording and reports the trend line.

Found this older pic and thought I would share.

    Most scary moment driving? Easy.

Crossing Stevens Pass at night in what should have been an absolute complete highway closure. Massive snow storm moved in, with so much snow my center skid was clearing the snow drifts in-between my wheels in a complete white out with cliff drop offs just on the edge of the highway. If you know this highway, a whiteout is the last thing you want on the deadliest highway in the state.

This is my highly modified 89 with front and rear Truetracs among other mods, including my ultimate headlight upgrade. Despite having 85/80w hot headlights with E-code lenses they nearly froze over in the storm. For those that know hwy 2, this is in Leavenworth, way, way after the pass. Had I been running 'cold' LEDs without lens heaters the outcome could have been worse as they would likely end up looking like my signal markers.

Great info, I'm tired of my stock lights and this looks like a great option vs $400 for retrofitting. Going to order the parts today!

I recently switched back to stock bulbs temporary before swapping in my new 85/80w Hypers which I installed today. I don’t know how people drive with the stock headlights, I kept double/triple/quadruple checking to make sure they were on.

Can you run "regular" bulbs through the upgraded harness?

Good to know. In a pinch nice to know you're not just gonna blow bulbs using too much power

As mentioned yes. Stock bulbs will be brighter than stock running just the harness with increased voltage. High wattage is determined by the bulb.

Cool. It warmed up around here a little and I was finally able to get a bunch done. Wednesday I got the bracket in, Thurs I installed the relays on to it and did the battery connections and yesterday I plugged everything in and tested and we're all good. Today should be the final piece of the puzzle - the new bulbs still need to go in.

Did this mod last week, I got all my stuff from http://www.headlightservices.com/4runner3.html I went with the Vosla +100 bulbs. I am very happy with the upgrade, and service from Headlight Services was great. Fast shipping and very easy to follow directions. The harness is very high quality, and since I have some room to grow with the Osram Super Bright 100/90w bulbs I am completely happy with the upgrade.

Big Thanks to crashnburn80 for all the research and the great write up.

No I was too eager to install it before it got dark. Pretty much the same as the OP just different harness. The kit comes with everything you need except electrical tape (to cover stock connector) and tools to mount the relay holders. Comes with screws to mount relay holder, plenty of zip ties, and 3 fuses (1 extra).

Light output with the Vosla +100 bulbs is not crazy bright, but very noticeable and seems brighter/crisper around the edges where stock bulb the light kind of tapered off.

If you need a quick cleanup for light/moderate hazed headlights, I highly recommend this stuff. I always kick myself for not taking before/after photos. It is very impressive.

Headlights should NEVER haze if a proper coating is applied and they are cleaned every 2 weeks. I've been driving for 23 years and have never had headlights haze, or clearcoat fail. Abrasive products will clean them up nice, but will only make them oxidize faster if not followed by a durable coating.

I always put paint sealant on my headlights a few times a year.
