Always nice to read about an SR thread and people’s experience with them. It’s really cool to get on here and see some pretty cool builds that people do along with product reviews and ways to solve problems as they arise. For me, I didn’t see the need for anything fancy other than the need for a 4x4 system for Michigan winters. Was lucky to find a 2016 model with the roof rack, dark aluminum wheels, cruise control, all at a fairly good price. Never had a truck before, but glad I started the way I did. It’s not a perfect vehicle, but with some simple mods, it’s turned into a truck I like to be in a lot. That’s what matters in the end.

Every time I see a picture of your truck I say to myself, "damn, nice looking ride!"

@Taco-rado nice ride! Just got some spot lights for my SR and plan on using them for fogs, were you pre wired?

Hey Mike, currently have a 2018 SR and I’m planning on keeping my steelies and just upgrading tires as well, I was wondering is this stock suspension or lifted?

The stock fog light locations are already prewired from the factory. But I wound up going with @CaliRaisedLed fog light kit which had brackets and pods, and wound up using their wiring harness.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
Damn man, your truck looks great! The 265s look good with your lift. That makes me feel better about going with 265s. I was worried they would look too small since everyone automatically goes to 285s around here.

Yeah, I was worried about the 265’s as well. And at some angles they do look small, but most of the time they look pretty good. I will step up to 285’s once these ones are worn out.

Where should I be looking to see if I’m pre wired? It doesn’t seem like I am based off what I’m seeing in the stock fog light locations, not seeing any harnesses or anything. I have a pair of Rigid spots and they came with a harness as well. Thanks for the help

Open the hood and look straight down behind the grill in front of the radiator. You should see an empty female plug, where the fog light wiring harness plugs in.
You can also refer to a few different fog light threads here, by Moe and Nitori

That's perfect. Love the steelies, lift, color, and overall stance of the truck. I miss my base model....

With our lights in the fog location we offer oem plugs that plug straight to your pre wired fog harness and straight to your caliraisedled pods which makes it plug and play.

Didn't have much choice other than going new. My SR5 had everything I wanted except for a rear locker. If I was to do it again I'd do it the same way. No regrets.

My 2017 AC 2.7L 5spd MT SR after last nights "dusting" of snow. Love the simplicity of the SR trim, especially the digital odometer. Added mudflaps and now am waiting on funds to add intermittent wipers. Then it'll be perfect.

Very recently I traded my base for a TRD truck. I truly do miss the base model. Bench seat, roll up windows, sliding rear window, 5 speed manual. My truck is still at the used car lot. Wish I could keep it....

I love my 2016 SR. My only wish is that it came with black cloth seats and had Apple CarPlay. I will be fixing both probably around tax time by getting a head unit and either Clazzios or Bartact covers.
