Hey guys! i've been looking at getting into a 2nd gen from my 01.
The 01 is great, but there is no room in the back for seating, and I like to have a nice new vehicle if possible.
just looking for thoughts. I have an 01 limited TRD.

I thaught about doing the same man... although I love my truck, I would like the more room and bigger bed that the 2nd gen has.
Maybe when I get her payed off!:)

I drove a 2nd gen taco first. Then I drove a 1st gen. I liked the first a lot better. I've had mine for a year (35,000 miles) I couldn't ask for a better vehicle. I don't plan on getting rid of it. 3.4L ext cab 4x4 5 speed. Every once in a while I wish I had more room but that has been my only complaint and I can live with it.

I was thinking of getting a quad, then decided on a bike haha.

I'm glad you guys like my truck so much, I wish i had an 04 just so it was newer, but I have the limited edition so my seats are very comfortable compared to the normal seats, color matched fender flares, push button 4wd isnt so cool but it works great.

hopefully I can have a 2002ish cbr 600 or something to go along with it soon

limited edition? I'm interested in more comfortable seats. I drive alot and my bucket seats hurt my butt. I was going to get another seat just for the frame and try to build myself a more comfortable one. (i have a friend who does upholstry)

yea in the 01 limited edition they came with the "limited sport seats" my buddy has an 02 and when i sat in his it was horrible compared to mine. find and 01 limited and try out the seats. electronic lumbar and they wrap around and hold you much better.

I guess I need to go drive a 2nd gen truck again. My friend has one, I drove it, I liked it. The extra room and power is nice along with the added accessories not available on the 1st gens. I love my '01, but it seems a lot of people like the first gens better than the 2nd's.

And miss the hell out of the old let me tell ya bout no room bulletproof crazy train prerunner before prerunner was a word 400k sassifrass monster. After 25 yrs it was time tho. Still, there are things that irritate me bout the new one that I never had to consider about the old one but...........I'm all stoked with the 2nd gen now & will just deal with the quirks. Dig the 1st gens too. Always hard choice to switch no matter the gen, always the trade off & ditching something that's been trustworthy no matter what is hard. That truck NEVER stranded me ever in the 25 yrs of insanity that it endured. Limped home without clutch or much brakes or barely running on rare occasion but still made it home no matter what. Damn, I'm going to go steal it back, I still have keys...............

they're all nice. the 2nd gen.'s seem to be still a little bit expensive, though. maybe it seems that way because I'M so poor
