    one of my best friends had both kidneys fail at birth...the drs took one from his previously heavy drinking father for him...he had to be on a lot of steroids etc and it stunted his growth heavily...he seriously is 26 years old...is 4 feet tall and looks about 45...

    when he got to college he began drinking...around the time he graduated...the drs all said his 1 kidney was doing better than it ever had...

    i guess it missed the alcohol it once was getting on a regular basis
