    Dear Customer,
As General Manager for Rick Hendrick Toyota, I typically refrain from words in our ads or correspondence to our customers like "EMERGENCY" or "ABSOLUTELY TOP DOLLAR FOR YOUR TRADE." At Rick Hendrick Toyota that's just not our style. However, we currently, have a dire need for vehicles in our pre-owned department. Pre-owned vehicles are bringing premium dollars at auction. It just makes sense to offer YOU the same premium for a local trade with a local history. Our pre-owned inventory levels are down 35-40%. I have empty spaces on the lot we need to fill.
In addition, because of this high demand, we can provide you an excellent trade-in value at this time. I am making a personal appeal to purchase your vehicle. We've recently earned the honor of becoming the largest volume certified pre-owned Toyota dealer in the entire Carolina's and we don't want to lose the title. But rest assured, we're also looking for non-Toyota vehicles as well; including cars, trucks, suv's and minivans.
You are under NO OBLIGATION to PURCHASE ANYTHING to receive a written offer.
Please take a look at the following link which is a current article from financial news source Bloomberg, which illustrates this same environment throughout the nation.
    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601213&refer=home&sid=aMnZH91.EgWs
The article goes on to say....
    - "...Higher used-car prices can make new models a better relative value," and ".....
-"Car prices at auction have skyrocketed,"
-"There is a very, very interesting inflection point where the financing on a new car becomes more attractive than the financing on a used car,"
The bottom line is I need your trade-in. An offer like this will not last, so act fast! This is not a gimmick. Due to market conditions and fluctuations this offer is good from now until the close of business 5:00 PM, Sunday, May 31st, 2009. Make plans to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity. Call 1-866-599-6656 to set up a time to receive a written trade or purchase estimate.

    Sincerely,

    Tom Costello

I got one of those when my taco was a year old... they'd made a mistake and had MEANT to send it to those with 2 - 3 year old vehicles.... They never make it worth your while...

Man, Will, hope you get it sold soon.... It sucks bad enough losing a parent, but to have this kind of aggrevation really adds insult to injury.
 that things work out for you.
