    Kinda....People are not remembering that the 1GR-FE engine is running with a 10 to 1 comp ratio. Not long ago, that was a ratio reserved for the highest of performance engines. Toyota states the 1GR engine CAN be run with 87 octain fuel, but best performance is achieved with 91+. People in that thread are begining to polute it with "Research octain" and other shit that they dont quite understand. The only octain that matters to the engine is what comes out of the pump. 85 can be run in the engine at higher elivations (Denver, CO), as there is less oxygen in the atmosphere that could cause any pre detonation. The citys/states in which there is more O2 density will have the higher octain fuels availible at the pump. Every test I have done...EVERY one....has shown higher performance is achieved with the higher octain fuel. I tested up to 91, as 93 isnt avalible here, and I dont see a need to test 100+ octain in this engine in an NA application.
