    4x4 > 4x2.

    That is a proven fact.

True but since Toyota doesn't do a 4x4AWD type of thing then it's useless on the street.

But in his case he doesn't need it at all. If you're driving 100% street in coastal California, you will never need 4x4. That's thousands of dollars lost in MSRP, insurance and gas.

That's pretty far from me but maybe they'll travel up here for the sale.
No manuals, ride height would be nice too. I had a car, if I wanted an xrunner I'd just keep the car.

There's a reason Toyota doesn't sell PreRunners in the northern states.

I'm sure there are a ton of people on here that go offroad that said to themself that they were keeping their truck on road at all times.

Just because it was a dealer trade doesn't mean it's been on the lot that long.... If your dealer had a car that another dealer wanted, they swap vehicles. It could have just rolled off the truck the other day and been driven straight to your dealer.

I agree the cash for clunkers deal is messing the works up for those without a clunker...

Try dealing through their online sales... alot of times you can get a better deal than you can in person...

    :woot:

Obviously if you lived in New York I would be telling you to get a 4X4, where you would need it. But the Bay Area? No. :p

It will probably see some dirt trails and a little mud but so does the Expedition and it's 2WD. I won't go anywhere with it that fully warrants the need for 4WD.

This is true, and if it was up to I would've gotten a 4x4.

However, I only do light to moderate offroading and my PreRunner with the locker can hold it's own.

Those are my thoughts exactly. The only place it sucks not having 4x4 is the once or twice a year I actually go up to Big Bear or Mammoth when it snows. But when I just throw the chains on, the Taco plows through the snow like it's nothing. It's awesome. :D

Very true but usually around here when dealers trade it's because the vehicle has been sitting on the lot SO LOOOONG that they would rather trade for something a bit more popular than let it sit there longer.

Another way Obama or Congress or whoever is messing up our country! (jk)

I'm gonna try out Walnut Creek's internet sales and see what kind of deal they'll give me for the truck. I want to pay no more than 25k, we'll see if I can work that. The lower the better!
Sha-zing! And another good point be made!
