Well I didn't take it out into the dunes, too many people out that weekend to feel comfortable with it, but I took it up a little dune that the kids were playing on (I posted the pic somewhere here) to get the feel for the sand, it does just fine. I left through a back road and it was kind of sanded over, I could feel the truck sink and lose speed on some real soft spots, but no stuck :D. I'll have it out next month over Valentines Day weekend and should be able to cruise around more.

My friend took his wife's brand new 4Runner (fully loaded w/all kinds of electric driving controls blah blah) into the dunes to tow a sandrail back, took him about 5 tries to get it out of the bowl and over the dune, but it did surprisingly well, wish I'd had my camera on me then.

As long as its not parked in the huge aircraft boneyard I seen out there, its all good right?

The snow is tapering off now :( I wish we had the amounts you get edge.. Just cold..
I got home late last night and the house was pretty cold, like 65. I said to my g/f why so cold? She said, "well I didn't want to spike the utility bill for the month." I said 'screw that, so we dont' eat out one night, I could care less, turn that thing up" She was wearing my wool hunting socks, slippers, robe, flannel pj's. Looked like a lost camper that just woke up in a blizzard.
