    Quicksand Access Cab TRD Sport 4X4 V6 with 6spd manual-not a common configuration. Almost all the salespeople at the dealership were making calls to potential customers as soon as it arrived. I talked to a few of them while I was waiting for financing to go through and they were pissed that it was pre-sold. I guess they didn't know at first and thought it was up for grabs. I agree that a lot of the stuff dealers say is BS, but they didn't have any reason to make stuff up since the truck was custom ordered and already mine.

    My '06 TRD Offroad was totaled 3 weeks ago... I ordered a TRD Offroad DBL cab with tow package yesterday (10/16) in Magnetic Gray. The salesman told me 6 to 8 weeks, then when the manager came out he said 8 to 10 weeks... :confused:

    Sometimes that is the case. Unfortunately just because there are not options doesn't always mean it will be quick. They don't make as much money on those trucks and also haven't allocated as many as the trds. They have percentages for all of them. Their latest push is the tonneau covers.

    First I ordered quicksand but changed to white a couple of weeks later. Chickened out.

    no tow (we have an F250 for that)
    $31500 after my discount
    should be here in Dec.
    May visit San Antonio to watch the build!!

    California plant they shut down was the NUMMI plant which is now where Tesla's are built. The Tacomas are built in Baja Mexico and San Antonio

    Yes, NuMMI was a joint venture with someone else. We got alot of transfers from there. Without researching I'll take your word on Baja making Tacos too.
    I just know San Antonio makes them for sure. They can't keep up with damand. Currently about 60,000 units behind!

    My salesmen says there is a plant in Texas as well. Not sure how accurate that is. I know my vin starts with a 5, which again he told me was Texas, not Mexico.

    That is all correct.

    Waiting on local dealer's allocation guy to come back into town to place deposit on MGM DCSB OR 6MT, it's still unclaimed in the build queue (1.5 months out) as of this afternoon. Allocation guy is back Monday morning.

    Put a $500 deposit on a DCSB in BBP on 03 OCT, and haven't even received a ship date yet...It's only been two weeks and the wait is killing me. Dealer offered me 22k for my 08 sport with 80K miles on it for trade in so at that point I was sold.

    I'm waiting for mine...I wanted a Texas built one in either Inferno or Quicksand but a dealer had one being delivered with incentives so I pulled the trigger on a Baja built rig.
    TRD OR Double cab short box in Blazing Blue Pearl with Premium Tech & JBL package. It is coming with floor mats, sill protector and mud flaps (will probably get rid of those for some better aftermarket ones). I'll be adding a engine block heater for the cold. It was supposed to be delivered Oct 24-29 but got bumped to Oct 28-Nov 1. Oh the agony of having to wait.
