The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

so I got a message saying my DCLB OR would be here on the 14th (today) but my salesmen told me it at the Houston port and they are doing checks on the low ATF and U joints and other problems that Toyota has been having problems with . thats why it was not in today. is that true or is that a lie? do they really work on cars and trucks at the port?

 

I was told my truck would be here mid-April

My patience grows thin

 

Mine was at the port in Houston for a week. I hope they were checking the fluids, etc.

 

I was told that Toyota knows about the problems and they are fixing them now. so I hope so as well.

 

I have been waiting nearly three weeks. Dropped by the dealership a few days ago for some paperwork stuff. They noted the Truck was going to literally pass though my town (Bozeman, Montana) on its way to Seattle. It will then be loaded on a truck then driven to Montana. My Touareg sold in four days. I expected it to take two weeks to sell. I still have at least 6 days to wait before the Taco arrives.

 

Mine arrived at the dealership Wednesday, I'm picking it up in a couple of hours. Quicksand TRD Sport AC MT. Now I'll have one of all three generations sitting in the yard.

 

I did not know you can place an order for a 2017

I picked her up today. She was tired so I put her in her room and let her rest.
I had to beat up the dealer as they added several accessories that I did not want just to jack the price up. Lesson learned....ordering is not an easy process, especially when you are dealing with such an in demand vehicle. I'm just happy to have her in my hands. She drives great and is fun to drive!

 

You ordered it as you wanted it and they still added things ? I would ask that they take them off .

I tried. They actually had listed that it had a tonneau cover, but it did not. The manager insisted that if it said it did, then it should have one. He did not believe me or the salesman and went to go check himself! Seriously, you think we don't know what a tonneau cover looks like?!?!?!? I made them remove that charge..duh, and one other charge, but left the rest alone. It was only 2 other items. As expected, they tried to lowball on my trade, but I refused to back down on what I wanted for it. I came close to walking away, but ended up getting a deal I could live with.

My patience wore thin and then they called me at 9am this morning to tell me my truck is in! The wait is finally over, skipped out of work early to go take delivery of it
