Can only tell you that's not a temporary vin so it's already built. Mine took about 14 days to hit the dealership after it was built.

I just checked my dealers website- looks like a quicksand DCOR model is now listed in their inventory (which is what I ordered). I guess that means it is on the way...

Edit- talked to the dealer. In freight status now..

Update: Took delivery on the 15th, exactly 7 weeks to the day from when I ordered. Wooooooooohoooooooo!!! Very psyched, now time to add the mods that are waiting in the garage...only bummer is the dealer called about 6pm so I ran over to snag it before continuing to pack as I went on vacation for a long weekend and left the truck in the garage. Waited 7 weeks to get it, then left the poor thing. We are all better now - good luck everyone and I wish you all speedy delivery and see you on the other threads!

Thursday! (Two days) Blue double cab 4x4 trd sport with trd upgrade package. The dealership has had it since last week but are renovating so they had to move it to get it pdi'd. Was able to go check it out this past weekend, can't wait to get my hands on it!

Thank you - I love this thing! Big leap from my 2002 and compared to that this fly's when I punch it.
I can really reel that 88 horse power increase. I'll find your super white pics and check it out...

First time poster here. Waiting is hard!

Placed my order 6/14/16 for a vehicle that was (I guess already?) on order from the distributor (Gulf States) to the plant. It's going to be a 2WD DC SB V6 Auto SR5 in Silver Sky Metallic w/SR5 Appearance, Towing, and Four Seasons Floor Mats Packages plus Predator Tube Steps.

Today (6/23), dealer told me that it's "scheduled to be built" and is estimated to arrive in Houston for installation of accessories on 6/30. Then it has to be shipped to my dealer in Mississippi by truck.

Dealer says that he can't see any VIN (even a temporary one) until it hits Houston, at which time it'll be the true VIN. Frustrating that some of you have received temporary VINs while my guys tell me they can't....

The temporary vin won't do you any good in the tracking process. After today your truck should get its vin and will be traceable if you have someone that will do that. If you have someone in sales that wants to help you out at your dealership they should be able to give you an update. I know mine took 2 weeks from the build date to when it reached the dealership.

My waiting game just ended! Thanks to this forum and the serious lurking I've done, I got what I feel was a great deal for my area. Timeline went as follows:
    • Searched for a dealer who would actually make a deal and order for me for a month.
    • Finally placed an order at the End of April.
    • Toyota accepted the build 5/7/16.
    • Build date was 6/8.
    • Arrived to my dealer 6/22.
    • Took delivery today!

Finally got a unicorn. Picked up my DCLB OR in BBP yesterday. Only took 7 months to get one. Ended up having to drive 3 hours out of state to Carson City NV to get it.

I put in a deposit up here in Canada for a TRD Tacoma Pro 2017 but no word on it yet and dealer isn't sure if they will be allocated one yet.

Good luck! I've been so happy with the truck. I think mine turned around quicker since it had no port installed options.

Update. Mine hit the Houston port today 7/1 for installation of accessories (predator tube steps, mud guards, carpet mats).

This is what my dealer sent me via email. It looks like a copied and pasted row from a spreadsheet. Is this from dealer daily you think? What are the non-obvious columns shown here? Are they really expecting not to finish installing the accessories for like 12 days?!?
