Mine should be in today. My dealer has not communicated with me well so I really don't know. My gf says I am expecting too much, but I think its not hard to communicate. Called Thursday L/M on his cell no call back. Emailed Sunday and no response still. Luckily Chris has updated me which has calmed me down. Mine got built 10/26 and I am close to SoCal so luckily delivery really isn't that long. Everything has taken an extra three days from estimate to actuals. I know it could be worse. I will post a pic when finally in!

Been waiting since I heard a new Tacoma was coming out over a year ago. Placed my order on August 24th or 25th I think. Didn't get accepted until a couple of weeks ago. Not my dealer's fault, I just have a rare build that isn't even allocated to my region. My truck is supposed to be built Thursday, hoping it arrives before Thanksgiving so I can break it in on a couple of hunting trips :)

Yes they can. Don't let them tell you they can't. It's true that certain configurations aren't allocated to some regions, but your dealer can modify a vehicle that was going to be allocated to them to your specifications even if that particular configuration isn't available in your region.

I ordered and got approved on a build for a DCSB TRD OR 4x4 in Inferno with a Manual Transmission and the Prem/Tech Package. That configuration isn't allocated to this area and it took a while to figure out how to do it, but my build is now accepted and is supposed to be built this week.

    How does that work?
I guess My build is somewhat rare DCLBTRDOR Tech/Prem/JBL.

I think they adjusted one of their allocated build or worst could it be that they are just waiting for the allocation that meets my build?

So, dealer quotes me $120 to swap Open Country A30 for Cooper Discoverer AT3. I was happy. 30 bucks a tire mounted and balanced, cool. I reminded them I would need the spare as well. I was thinking another 30 bucks, for 150 total. Still Ok with it. They're now telling me they'd have to increase the 5th tire by a hundred bucks. What the hell??

They most likely would have changed a build that was allocated to them to what you wanted. That seems to be the easiest way to do it. It will then to into "pending" in their ordering system until Toyota says that they approve and will build it.

Mine took 2 months to get approved. We actually had to wait for a manual transmission truck allocation to build mine. We kept changing automatics that were allocated to manuals and they would never accept it. It's very odd how Toyota handles ordering. It's not like the Big 3 where you can go to a dealership and build a vehicle and expect it 6-8 weeks later

Are the A30's gonna be that bad? I was thinking better tires for snow, not much offroad, if any.

Not a 3rd gen hater, I like them. I'll get one eventually, Im waiting till the 18's come out. "If" there are any bugs they should have them worked out by then maybe even some upgrades. Not hating, just not ready yet.

Dealer called this morning and after about a month my Blazing blue DC OR should be delivered tomorrow since a snowstorm is slowing things down a touch. The dealership is a 2 hr drive away so I'll probably have to wait until Friday to go get it. I have new 8-ply Yokohama AT/S 265/75-16 tires already...I chose those as they are great all around tires for my needs.

Just got home with mine. I'll get some pictures soon. I picked it up from Prestige Toyota in Kingston New York. They have a blazing blue pearl sr5 access cab that is not spoken for yet on the lot in case anyone is interested.

I bought a dc v6 4x4 (which I still have) new in 2003 for 26k. I still drive it, 250k and counting. I just couldn't bring myself to pay 35k for an off-road.
