    Z, I have a temp vin and a "build any day" promise. My buddy is the used car manager at the auto group the Toyota dealership is part of so I believe them(sorta) when they say they promise they will call asap with any updates. I ordered a TRD sport bbl dblcab, premium, tech, long bed with tow(no choice on tow) sunroof too which I'm thrilled about. Always thought my 06 needed one. Shipping to the northeast(buffalo)

    Damn! I'm without a vehicle Jan 2nd, and was told my truck won't be in till mid-Feb. Everyone here have multiple vehicles?? Also, anyone here get their vehicle before the eta prediction? It's the middle of winter here, and I can't imagine not having a vehicle for 2 months!

    I'll be without a vehicle for 2-3 weeks because my build date was delayed over 3 weeks. It should've been delivered this week but now with the holidays it's looking like the end of Dec. or beginning of Jan. Then it has to be transported across the country so there's another week, then add a few more days if they run into any storms. :boom:

    We sold my car a few weeks ago. We still have my wife's Civic. Dealer was offering 500 for my vehicle so I threw it on Craigs for 2000 and sold it for 1800 in less than four hours. We work a block away from each other so one vehicle is fine

    Yeah I saw one out of state too but don't want to go through that hassle.

    What color you looking for?

    According to the online build site, does the DCLBOR w/ jbl only come in white?

    All the other colors say not in inventory when choosing that configuration online.

    I would love a Black one but willing to go white if that's the only option.

    Does an "allocation cycle" mean every couple of weeks?
    Also do you just have to call the nearest fleet store and ask which dealers are getting the DCLBORs?

    They will search current allocations within 500 miles but they will not tell you who is getting one. They will throw numbers at you for a dealer trade if they do find one. This is garbage because they will try to upsell you the shipping and the cost of the vehicle they have to trade... etc. It's bullshit.

    Call Toyota and have them look it up. We once got a dealer to tell us who they were going to trade with because I started talking about things they didn't want to hear. It's a long story but the truck they wanted to trade was already sold at that other dealer and I knew it...

    Oh so when you put your zip code into the build site it knows which region you're in and therefore shows you what colors are offered for the build? Interesting....

    12/15 update: Spoke with dealer. She said the vehicle is "labeled" so she knows it's built and at the rail head. She told me that the delay is because there is a backup at the rail head. She also told me that there are four other customers waiting as I am. I still have no real VIN! Seems the lack of info is caused by the rail head backup? Trying to be patient!:thumbsup:

    which is about what everyone here is experiencing.

    First choice is magnetic grey, second choice is White.

    What I did was looked up different zip codes within 1000 miles and used them on the toyota site, the further I went away the more options that popped up.

    I ended up calling Toyota corp today, you would be surprised on the lack of effort / training some dealers have when it comes to being resourceful. I don't understand why they rather sell you whats on the lot then hunt down the truck you want. Their current inventory is gonna sell regardless if I order mine or not. Fortunately there are a few resourceful dealers out there willing to go out of their way to get you what you want.
