    I ordered a SB inferno, drove through the parking lot of the dealership yesterday and there is a sand SB there with all the extras I ordered on my inferno, thinking about just sucking it up and taking the sand....

    Never ordered/built a new automobile before... does all price negotiation take place before the dealership actually orders the truck? Basically, is the final OTD price decided and a contractual agreement made so that they don't magically change the numbers?

    My situation might be different from yours but I ordered the day before Thanksgiving and am suppose to take delivery this week. Tuesday I went into the dealership and finished up all the paperwork and made it all legal so that when it does come in, I should just come in and pick it up.

    My OTD was MSRP. Dealer has the upper hand really...supply and demand.

    Absolutely negotiate your best price before you sign anything and give a deposit. They don't call them stealerships for nothing.;) Make sure you know what their DOC fees are,TDA fees and then there's the delivery fee of $900. Your only other fees should be tax,title and tags. Also make sure you have this all in writing when you give them your deposit so there's no surprises once your truck comes in. Try and take a friend or family member who has some buying experience if you can.

    I'm moving cross country before mine comes in. When I dropped off my trade in I had them inspect my trade and sign off in case they try to pull anything later. Who knows what could happen sitting on their lot for 2-3 weeks and there's nothing I can do now being 2600 miles away. Also re-confirmed all our numbers and had them give me an updated print out just for piece of mind.

    I began the quest 1st week of November. I had an awesome '13 TRD Off Road ac 6mt mgm with 40k miles but wanted/needed double cab. Stoked a guy on Craig's list with a great price and thought I'd go to the local dealer and pick up a new truck.. That started the slippery slope! I was dealing with 3 different dealers here in Cali. 1 dip shit and 2 other guys that are legit but since they were getting the run around they passed it on to me.. TW is the 1st forum I ever signed into and because of that I was informed of a dealer in Ohio giving great deals. I called last Sunday for fun since I supposedly had what I wanted ready for build date Jan. 4th. The Taco clouds split and miraculously Ohio 3 days prior received my exact truck! FedEx took my paperwork and cashiers check today for overnight and I will have the truck shipped out next week!! Thanks for advise and like minded bs on TW.     Got good news and bad news today.... good news =Should be here between Jan 5th and 12th, bad news= my accessories didn't get on the job order in time so it will arrive without the items I wanted on it. But will not be a problem getting them on when it finally gets here!!!! still playing the waiting game!!!

    First post. Still waiting. Ordered Nov 2nd, build date mid Dec (dealer had an allocation) recently told build will be complete by the first week of Jan, delivery thereafter. See if I get a permanent VIN in the next few weeks. Black DCSB MT TRD Sport 4x4 with upgrade package.

    Got mine yesterday. Ordered a MGM DCLB TRD sport on 10-1 delivered 12-31. Dealership was crazy busy with the year end event that's for sure.

    They showed me the order list while we where waiting just for thier dealership and it had to have a hundred trucks on it still waiting to be built.

    Love it. None of the problems people have mentioned.

    Absolutely love the backup camera that thing is awesome.
