Ordered 12/23 and no news yet. Plan to call Monday and check on status.

Update- should arrive between 9th and 13th, so excited!

Woohoo! It's here today, getting prepped. I'll pick up tomorrow at lunch.
    Picture tomorrow with more details.
So 12/23 to 02/09 is 47 days, doesn't seem too terribly long for exactly want I wanted.

Flew to Arizona yesterday from San Diego to pickup the wife's DCSB OR. Transaction was smooth as silk even the flight was good. Completed all the CA BS required (at least I hope) to register in CA today. Again smooth as silk. DMV appointment on the 4th to actually acquire the plates and generate the title (fingers crossed that the silkiness continues).

I was wondering if there is a program like GM has for the Corvette ? You can pick it up from the factory?

Looks like we are in a very similar situation. Ordered an SR 4x4 MT access cab Utility package on 12/18. No color specified. Got an email from the dealer that the build date is 2/4/16 and should arrive at the dealer about 2 weeks later. Looks like it will be white. Replacing my '87 Toyota "Pickup" (also white) with 200,000 miles on it and a rust holes large enough that a bird started building a nest in the side. Getting eager as my current pickup is having brake issues but I really don't want to put a lot of money into it at this point.

Ordered a DCSB OR Quicksand with only the tow package nothing else on 10/24. Just got a text that it should arrive on Monday. The wait and this forum have been bad on the bank account. Got a LARGE stack of boxes in the garage & tires and wheels waiting at America's tire. Can't wait to start the build!!

Okay - been lurking around here, thought I'd throw in. Ordered back on 10/30, got a build date (hope it is legit) for 2/1. Grey/Magenta SR 5 w/ the bigger engine, full cab, short bed, no TRD. I will believe it is a legit build date when I believe it is a legit build date.

Worth the wait. 2016, trd 4x4. access cab, long bed in Quicksand.
Bed on straight, bumper on straight, hood adhesive still attached, Made in Texas.
Salesmen at dealership drooling all over it since they haven't seen one yet. They sell and stock allot of 2wd double cab short beds.

    First time post for me.
I ordered a MT DCSB TRD OR on January 22, 2016 after two months of deliberation and research. I just rec'd an email from the dealer that the build date is scheduled for February 2, 2016. I know this sounds wrong but the truck may be here before I was really ready for it as I wanted the Iowa winter to be over first. I was shocked to get a build date that soon (the truck must have already been in the pipeline or my dealer has more pull than I thought).
I test drove a few trucks at other dealerships but I have not even stepped foot in this one yet as I mailed the deposit to them. The dealership next to where I work refused to budge off the MSRP so I went to one about 40 miles north and did the entire deal mostly via email.

Ordered my MGM Limited on 11/13/2015. It was off the production line 1/13/16 and changed to delivery status last Thursday. It was supposed to be delivered Saturday, but with the 2 feet of snow Baltimore got it is still not delivered. Dealer is a little over an hour from the port so I am hoping today.

I'm in Pennsylvania. I put a deposit down on 12/9. I have a build date of 2/2 and I've read others have the same build date. Sound like production might be catching up with demand on some models although this probably is not true across the board. I planned my truck as for as near arrival of spring as possible, March 20th, also happens to be my birthday lol! As anxious for it as I am, I wish it would not show up until the weather clears a little. Good Luck to you!

Still waiting for my dcsb with tech and JBL for some time now in SoCal. If a dealer told you it was arriving any day now with no exact date for the past two weeks would you wait or go somewhere else ? Should I ask for a vin# ?

I'm debating just going outta state like originally planned. That way I can at least get a build and delivery date. I'm giving it one week

I can see how that would drive you nuts. Personally, that type of poor communication would about end my patience and I'd be off to the races. A vin would at least confirm it was in the pipeline or on its way with a estimated delivery date. I'd ask to see the Pipeline Tracking sheet for your truck after being provided with a vin#. That will show you build date, departure date, Port date, ship date and arrival date among a few other finer points. A week is gracious of you but at least you're not starting over.

Well I received my weekly update today. Here is what they emailed me.

    Hey Chris!

System says it is -15 days away from the port, still no VIN (won't get one until it is about to be sent from distribution center to us)

That is when the stripped down frame that is on the boat will get to the port in Texas, it then gets on a Train from the port to the distribution center in San Antonio Texas. That is where they put on the tires, put in the engine, etc.

I was hoping for better than that.

Got my update today from the dealer. Told there are no allocations and no trucks in the NY region that fit my "order". So they never actually "ordered" anything. They're just playing a game of "hope one shows up in the region". He said there was one that fit my ask exactly 200+ miles away but was already spoken for. How do you get the truck you want? I should be more patient I guess. I know people have waited longer for what they want, but I'm seriously doubting whether I'll see a new truck anytime before summer at this point. I should maybe go internet sales route, but I'm not sure how to handle the tax, title, insurance, and all that stuff if it comes from out of state. People are saying it's easier, but it does make me nervous.
