The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

I put a deposit down on Friday the 5th on a DCLBOR. I called him a couple of days ago for a status update and he said he will let me know more tomorrow (Monday). He said that is when they get their updates but for now it looks like it will be in Missouri the first week of March.

I found the same truck about 2,000 miles away and I am tempted to contact that dealership to see if it's in their inventory and if they would let it go to the local dealership.

I'll just have to wait and see what happens like everyone else.

 

Not playing the game anymore, Truck came into dealer an hour ago, Pick it up up tomorrow. Am I excited. Good luck to all those still waiting

 

Not playing anymore, either. I had ordered an inferno DCSB OR 4x4 (with PT, towing, and JBL), but cancelled today after determining that this is somehow just too hard for Toyota do do. The order status is "allocation recycling" and the truck might not show up until May. The dealership is pretty apathetic about the whole affair, and now so am I. At this stage I figure I might as well wait for 2017 models (and not just Toyotas). My 05 Tacoma will do just fine in the interim.

 

Well I got my VIN today. 5TFBZ5DN5GX001485. It is being built as we speak. May be here as soon as next week I am told. Can't wait!

 

I have the paperwork....the Internet manager at the time ordered the truck after I left the dealership. They fired him at some point between the when he screwed up the order and when the truck arrived. There are no trucks (Black DCLB 4x4 TRD Off Road) like I ordered in the gulf state area. It was take a truck I did not order or get my deposit back and keep my vehicle I was trading in.

Ordered 12/8. Got the call today, Truck's finally been allocated. Will be born in MEXICO. Getting more info on it tomorrow as far as due date, delivery, VIN, etc. So much closer!

 

I received confirmation of arrival for Monday 22nd, hopefully is true....

 

Today was supposed to be the day.... I call the dealership and it's been pushed back to March 7th.

Guess I have more time now to try to sell my car....

I'm told it should be here by the end of this week. DCLB OR in quicksand. I've yet to see any longbed offroad packages in my area, just a few sports and we have 5 toyota dealerships in a 30 mile radius.

 

Monday the 22nd for mine is expected. Wednesday is the soonest I can get there

 

I was scheduled to get the truck between 2/20-2/25 but it just got pushed back to 2/25-2/29.

 

Mine is due 2/20 to 2/24 in Pa. Have not heard any more from the dealer although I read the Port(s) are backed up? May I ask where you are located?

 

I am in PA as well, Eastern PA to be exact. I would guess your dates pushed back the same as mine but I obviously don't know for sure.

 

Thanks! I'm also in Eastern Pa. near Pottsville. Last I heard from my sales guy was last Thursday and that's when he said 2/20 to 2/24. Although I'm anxious, I won't be at all upset if it is delayed. Hopefully the weather around here soon improves a little before it arrives. Good Luck with your new Tacoma!

 

Yeah, I was the same way. I wasn't all that upset when he told me it is delayed a tad. By chance, did you order from Freedom Toyota in Hamburg?

 

I've heard the storm pushed northeast deliveries to dealers back a week.

 

Mine is supposed to arrive by 2/19. It's been delayed before, so I am not holding my breath.
