Zombie Apocalypse Show isn't Real Enough (The Walking Dead on AMC)

we already saw zombie beaver (sorta) when Carol was practicing Csections.

Funny thing, the wife said "since you like to comment on tv babes, there you go..."

 

It was in at least one of the very old Living Dead movies, they were digging out from underneath grave stones and stuff. I Don't remember if there was any explanation like "only ones dead less than a year" or anything. That was the plot of the movie, some virus or something made all the dead arise to zombie life. Don't think they had any bare skeletons walking though.

 

There was also a scene in The Road to Woodbury when a small horde of zombified carnival performers chased them through the woods... midgets, bearded lady, strongman type carnies.

The original "Night of the Living Dead was supposed to be set around a comet or meteor if memory serves. Because after it passed, the dead stopped rising.

Walkers in The Walking Dead are not rising from the grave, they are dying of a massive fever, then returning from the dead.

 

Not necessarily, from what the guy at the CDC in ATL told Rick, everyone is infected and they turn when they die - wether it be from a zombie bite/scratch/whatever, or by other means - like Shane, Milton, Merle, etc. If the massive fever thing you mention was correct, then everyone would get it, no?

In the books the only time they showed a 'Walker' in a grave buried trying to get out was when Spoiler Rick had killed Shane, later realizing that everyone turns, goes back and 'puts him down' and says "Don't think I'm going to bury you again you Son of a Bitch" Spoiler

 

I don't think that is a spoiler anymore now that Shane has been gone from the show for a long time now...

 

After the last episode, I think there are so many differences in the comic and the show that talking about the comic will not be a spoiler. It almost seems to be done on purpose by the writers so they could have more freedom with the show. The comic is more for a reference for story lines and characters the writers can pull information from. Hell Andrea is still alive long after the conflict with Woodberry.
