I understand what they're doing. I just hope the next episodes have better direction is all; as in editing, directing, writing, etc. Sets and makeup are still on point though. I have no issues there. haha

 

I've never watched GOT but checked it's thread. It does get trolled pretty heavily. The title of this one WAS "The Walking Dead" nothing about 'for fanboys only'. I thought that meant good and bad. Maybe the show IS trying to serve 2 audiences. Some love the aspect of blowing shit up and fights all of the time, some (I take that back, I can speak only for myself here) I remember the first season. How it was looking like another AMC character show that they were getting popular for. Dale against Shane. Morgan couldn't kill his wife. Rick was confused about how he felt about all of it. The comic never strayed from that feeling to this point in the series. (I don't read ahead)
And as far as plot lines, there's not much guessing. Like GOT's it's layed out in the books. We can discuss what might details might change but there's really nothing to do but critique how well they transferred the issues to film. Of course the comic doesn't show them reloading but neither does it show them with machine guns. And they can draw armor as thick as their pencil's allow.
Point is, why doesn't the show care how it looks to an observer? I read a book, I watch a show. Of course I'm going to pay more attention to what it looks like.
You'll look long and hard to find a site that every fan loves what Gimple is doing. As was said before by another poster here, "Doesn't mean I have to be a zombie to watch it".

Maybe it'll get back on track, maybe Negan is the shark. Time will tell.

 

at least Army of darkness you KNEW they were not trying to be serious. Here they are trying to be serious and failing is why the discontent. The side drama they try to put in this show is whats annoying to me.

 

The comic has a lot of drama and frustration. Some really human stiff goes on in it too. Rick crying on the side of the bed about someone dying needlessly. It's in the source and then some.
Abraham or another character like him is missed though.
If he promises to go to Fear and wipe the scowl of Madisons face, I'll go back to see it.

This series has become much like that bad relationship/crazy gf scenario.
It was all googly eyes and holding hands in the beginning but now you can't stand to be around her. She's moved all her shampoo and clothes in. And you find out shes pshyco but shes on the lease and cant kick her out. You've invested time with her and every once in a while she throws the butt in the air so you just keep praying it gets better and wish it was like the old days

So what was the point of Morales and why did they bother bringing him back?

 

I guess the proper response is that he helped show the distance the group ( and himself) has traveled from 'good guys just trying to make it' to 'just as bad as anyone else out here'.
I would have liked to have seen more of him but there was a siege going on so it prob. would have tied up more time than it was worth.
