I'd like to browse thru the shelves. Got anything adaptable to a 3rd Gen?

The seat-belt buckle is apparently the only thing that carried over to the 3rd gen. ;)

3rd garage in 5 years. Perhaps next year, this will come down and I'll have a 5th built to my spec. Because apparently unfucking myself has become a full-time job.

    Went from 755 SF 3-door...

    ...to 255 SF...one-ish door?

I'm gonna have to keep these doors and hardware somehow. Impractical, but so cool.

    The illumination system

Naked large flood bulb asking to be smashed by lumber or a ladder, light fixture and conduit loose, ungrounded knob and tube...

Pulled new grounded 12 awg and installed a new box and duplex outlet. Night time assessment...SNAFU

Fuck that shit, still have these fixtures left over from 2 houses ago, where they sat on a SHELF! YES! SHELVES FTMFW!

I have another 2-tube that I'll drop over the bench. Should be rounding up my new bench, tool chests, pegboard, and saws from the old house with a buddy this weekend. All that LED lighting I installed there is beign written off as an improvement, but it should help sell that garage for sure.

    it's got character

and I don't mean that in a snobby, wine-swilling, hausfrau kinda way where I really mean "oh my god what a sh*tbox"

and yeah it is creepy... suits you

Oh yeah. Fing huge. I have 5 confirmed kills. I had to nuke the whole east wall with Terro first, and pulled a loose exterior light fixture covered in webs inside and out and a big gap. Fixed that loose fixture box, sealed the gap, etc.

looks like the roof used to be shakes, now OSB board & ? Hope that OSB board has good waterproofing membrane of some sort between it and the roofing material!

The place has character, although it's obviously an electricians nightmare.

Is the loft area strong enough for parts storage?

Maybe instead of shelves, I can try a new storage system.

The garage did have Section 1 rot and also had evidence of past termite activity. All that was repaired before sale. The entire house and garage have brand new dimensional asphalt singles, 40 year warranty, IIRC. I'll have to review the receipts once I have a moment. All new gutters and spouts, flashing, trip edge, etc. Remember, this is a Mediterranean climate. All done to code, neighbor who is a contractors said she was super impressed when she saw them installing.

I look forward to tearing it down. :sawzall:

You can do the metric math...
