I have these shackles on my truck. I am running their flip as well. They come predrilled for grease fittings.

These will be getting replaced at some point soon with a different, longer, shackle setup. Also have my stocks. PM if ya need some info

Cool, thanks, Blake. What leaf bushings do you have in them?

Not really sure. They came with bushings if i remeber correctly, but it was a while ago. They seem to be a rubber style.
I recently decided I'd like to run a better bushing, just not sure what would work. I've heard good things about the poly bushings offered for dakars.

Are you planning on doing them without a flip kit?

I had the uh I want to say SB88s in my first gen for the grease able OME shackles. Really liked them, but I didn't have the truck a real long time after that. Good material and grooves to help retain and distribute grease.

Seriously thinking of the equivalent SB108s for this truck. Already got a set for the rear eye at the shackle.

Yes. And it's confirmed by 4x innovations they work as a direct replacement for OEM.

@tacomgee here are the SB88s. I like the circumferential grooves on the flanges on the bushings that rest against the shackle arms/plates. In my opinion, that groove helps keep grease available in there, whereas a totally flat and flush bushing-to-plate contact would squeeze all the grease out pretty quickly.

Those are the ones i had in mind. I agree with you on the grooves. What shackle setup is that? I see shocks are inboard. First gen?
Looking for something like that for mine

Yeah, that is all first gen stuff, those are greasable first gen shackles, OMEGS12. No such animal for 2nd gens from OME, or anyone else that I'm aware of. That's why I'm learning all over again. :(

The SB108 bushings fit both ends of the CR047 Dakars for 2nd gen and have the same groove features. It's that damn upper, or rather lower o_O, inverted frame mount shackle with a factory metal-sleeved bushing that is what I am solving for. There is an Energy replacement bushing, but it requires that you extract that inner metal sleeve from the shackle, which is a huge PITA. this is all the stuff in Crom's thread, and a related thread I was reading up on and decided to pre-empt the whole lot of fuckery from the very beginning. Just a stupid, annoying factory design.

EDIT: 40mm, fits both ends of Dakars. I'll be ditching the fron rubber pre-installed Dakar bushing too.
