That would be inconsiderate towards Bennett's Build thread.

Camelback finally shipped my FJ emblem and Camry union for diff breather mod.

Their site is a bit annoying because they have a notice that says they only ship to billing addresses. But it is just up with a bunch of other claptrap that I didn't bother to read.

But when you fill out profile and order information, it provides separate fields for billing and shipping, if you want. Which I did. I usually have shipment come to my office for security.

I order at night on Monday.

Tuesday nearly 10 am, they send me a message, included several words in ALL CAPS, saying my order is on HOLD because they do NOT ship to NON BILLING ADDRESSES. And they will HOLD my order until I say it is OK to ship to my BILLLING ADDRESS, and if that is NOT OK, then they will REFUND my order.

I reply almost at 12:12 same day, yes, OK, fine ship to my billing address. But if a different address is not an option TAKE THOSE FUCKING FIELDS OFF YOUR WEBSITE. GOSH. Actually, I was more diplomatic than that. I don't want poop in my box.

Wednesday 5:30 pm, no response as of 29.5 hours later. Great. So I sent them a message saying, hello, did you get my message of approval? Twenty minutes later they said they did, and they would work on fixing the site.

Thursday, 1 pm, I finally get a tracking number.

So basically they've fucked around with my order for 2.5 days. Good thing I'm not prepping for a trip right now.

I shit you not, you would not believe the abject archaic and unclear lunacy of the forms that I have had to decipher and fill out for Paid Family Leave, a state paid benefit through disability. They take the simplest ideas and needs and turn them into baffling shitshows. At least the caseworker who called me didn't know what she was talking about and could barely speak English. Likewise with CEQA, the California Environmental Quality Act, the State version of NEPA. It is a good and needed concept, but so horribly written and implemented that all it does is pay for the mortgages of bureaucrats, attorneys, and consultants, and nothing ever gets done. Moonbeam is actually trying to get it overhauled and streamlined. He's much more pragmatic than outsiders may perceive (depending on the issues and values), he's fearless, because he has nothing to lose at his age, and he's pissing off everyone on both sides of the spectrum, so that indicates he's trying to be pragmatic rather than dogmatic.

Want to comment, but don't know what to say any more. :frusty:

Guess that's why I'm hiding out on night shifts, keeping my head down, putting the boxes on the airplane, and going home.

Stuff gets stranger every day, what should be straight forward and simple gets complicated and mired in the muck. :(

It doesn't feel like it yet. LOL. I just want one uninterrupted day to wail on a few things, and then get wheels/tires. Then wait for OME BP-51s to come out.

These AT20s are pathetic in the slightest little puddle that I am reluctant to even define as a "puddle" because of their diminutive sizes. More like the water that build up against the painted dashed line. LOL. The tires actually pull hard with the slightest bit of water.

I haven't figured out the screen thing yet. I mocked up something to experiment with, but would be a PITA to attach, and the aftermarket GPS sun screens, which look promising, have different dimensions that will not work with potential attachment areas, or will interfere with viewing from an angle (driver position). There may be some screen protectors (applied directly to the screen) with some anti-glare qualities that I may look into.

As I get older i dislike driving in heavy rain and at night, weather it's in the Tacoma or the 10 wheel dump truck! The roads here are designed to have good runoff but they can only handle so much. I've taken a liking to the long bed DC's. It'll be real sharp with the new tire package and suspension. Thanks for the reply.

Those look like they are going to be good, I'm jealous. My build schedule doesn't allow me to wait for them though and I'd be nervous being an early adopter as well. So I had to pick something existing right now and thus have ICONs sitting in the living room waiting for an Expo leaf to show up.

Will definitely be living vicariously through this thread when you eventually pick up the BP-51s.

It's not a bloody-minded pursuit of mine to get the OMEs. However, they are so close to release, and I am in no rush, I think I should be patient and see how they play out. It's those or Kings. Not going to rush into spending that much money.

Wheels and tires will come first, and they will not be affected by the suspension because I am staying pretty conservative.
