I'm not a huge watch guy because I seem to always break them. I have one citizen that I wear when I get dressed up. My brother is really into them though, he just added this one...by far the most expensive he's got.

:DTimex and Skagen....I keep my "Rolex" is in a Schwab Account) Both my watches keep great time as expected and If I lose one or break one.....just buy another. Like sunglasses. I like the skagen becasue it is paper thin and sleeves slip over it without getting caught,

One less thing to have to worry about getting hit over the head for, or stolen, or losing. Then again I am not the pretentious type. I do not want people to know where I am financially. That ostentatious crap went out in the 80's. Besides from what I have seen the replica boutique watches are dead ringers to those who would be impressed by them. you would need a Jeweler to tell the difference ...But who in their right mind would want to wear a fake $3000 watch and risk their lives for it in this recession? May as well risk your life for the real thing. One thing about Rolex wearers..their sleeves are always rolled up.....and they scratch their face alot with the watch hand.:D:D:D

Many of the other watches look like anything one can buy for $100 at Fossil or a mall Kiosk. I don;t think people actually use 1/2 the things on some watches. They just look complicated making wearers look like International secret agents. All those chronograph dodads can be had on a Casio

I'm looking into a few different brands right now, thinking about making the purchase as more of a "family heirloom" I can pass down to my 2 sons someday.

I've been told to buy an automatic watch with valjoux 7750 movement. Some of the brands I'm looking at include Invicta, Fortes, Omega, Rolex and Zenth.

    Comments or suggestions?

Finally decided to buy a new Invicta watch since I just learned I will be relocating back to Fort Worth (woohoo!). Couldn't bring myself to shell out the big bucks for a watch right now, maybe in a few years.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted yet, but I just picked this one up today.

Von Dutch Kobra (The strap matches the truck's interior pretty good!)

own a patek philippe pocket watch, minute repeater, with complications. keep in sdb. I didn't buy it. it was my grandfathers. he died in 1920. nice to look at,but really can't wear it. bailly banks & biddle couldn't appraise it. also have an enicar-sherpa graph, which I purchased around 1968 while in the service. normal everyday watch is a citizen chronograph.

Im a fan of Nixon to be honest. I dod have a rolex, relic, fossil, quartz, and a few others but my favorite would be my Nixon Player Watch.

Im simple when it comes to watches, like the modern look as well.

I'm starting to get the watch addiction, it's growing on me. Lately I've been rocking Nixons. I have a rubber player on right now, love it!

Aye cuidado en el agua! I just lost one of these when going in the pool the other day. It wasn't as water resistant as it shoulda been. Luckily I bought 3 from the FS section for 30.00 so wasn't a big loss. I'll just go back to one of my boring last forever Timexes for water use.
