The weakest link in RCI's skid system...

    ... is the thin-walled rectangular tube spacer used to lower the Transfer Case skid plate to clear the stock exhaust.

    It was smashed/deformed during a battle with a rock at Rausch Creek Off Road Park. The beefy 1/4" RCI aluminum skids did a fantastic job protecting the underbelly of the truck. I just wish the spacer was just as beefy.

    Is the spacer thicker-walled for the steel skids? If so, can I have one of those?

    Thanks for the pic! We do use the same spacers for both steel and aluminum version skid plates but at one point we used a lighter gauge tubing than the current spacers so its possible yours was an earlier one? In any case, it is a cheap and easy part to replace. Give us a call and we can swap you out.
