My wife and I ordered the P90x3 workout video's and used the shakeology as well. The stuff tastes great and is quick and easy. Combined with the diet plan I lost 30lbs and my wife lost 20lbs. After a couple of months we decided that spending that kind of dough on a protein shake was just plain crazy so we bought some whey protein and fresh fruits and made our own. Doesn't taste as good but we haven't gained back any weight. My advise is to follow the diet and exercise. Eating clean and in the right ratio's of protein/carbs at the right times of the day (as outlined in the P90x3 diet plan) seems to be the key.

BTW it cost so much because of the multi level marketing. Lots of people getting a small bite of that pie!!!

Awesome, my wife loves hers. If she is competitive at all tell her to check out the FitBit groups, she can compete against friends for the amount of work per day.

Just a comment about fruits. Unless you are a diabetic or pre diabetic, the sugar you get from fruits is minimal compared to the high fructose corn syrup you get from 90% of the foods most people eat. Cut back on that shit and you will be able to eat nearly all the fruit you want. With all due respect, fruits along with straying away from HFCs give you the nutrients you need and railing agaisnt natural fruits then sucking down MaDinalds French fries is back ass thinking......no offense.:boom:
Other then that minor point, you seem spot on.....

the workouts are going to have varying results for each type of person, that being said, i have done insanity and t25. I saw real results with t25. Beachbody makes a ton of money with all the extras they sell, i never spent money on any of that crap. Stick to a healthy diet and regular exercise and she will see results. No money needed

Thing is that people go nuts thinking they can eat all the strawberries and melon they can. Google sugar content in fruit. It'll give you an actual gram/weight of each fruit. A single banana has 12grams of sugar. That's no small number if you add that, strawberries, melon and pineapple to a smoothie.

This is a good discussion because your idea of a lot of fruit is different from mine. First, one Apple, one banana and a fresh pealed orange daily along with strawberries on your what ever is what I had in mine

    ALL
Dietitians promote higher amounts of roughage and fruits with their nutrients and roughage are idea regardless of the calories added ( variety, not an entire melon) Fruits and veggies are mandated in all good diets. HFCs in fast foods is where you eliminate the sugar, not fruit. Most fat people suffer from malnutrition as their bodies keep them perpetually hungry due to the lack of nutrients. If you are overweight, it generally means first, along with exercise, you must eat enough of the right foods.....fruits and veggies with modest amounts of meats and more protein from other sources. No F'n big macs and fries from Macs. It is a farce to start talking about eliminating fruits and not talking about fast foods with HFCs.

Another thought (lots of good advice above), her body/hormones are not going to be stable for another 6 to 10 months. That's going to make her goals harder to reach (physically) and harder to achieve (emotionally and mentally).

As others said, be supportive, help with the baby, and hang on for the ride.

    Good luck,
    AE

My wife switched from Beachbody products to WHEY Protein Blend by RSP and also Cor-Performance WHEY by Cellucor. Great flavor same results and a LOT cheaper. She was even a beachbody coach, it's a sales pyramid that only a few profit from.

I would agree. I don't think I said eliminate fruits. Just watch your consumption of them. When I used to make smoothies, I grabbed those bags of frozen fruit from Costco and used those.

I know several people 4 years into it that quit their jobs to become a full time coach. You get what you put into it. If you don't work, you don't profit. Kinda like any job. :)

You can work it just enough to pay for your supplements without worrying about making tons of money.

Shakeology is a lot cheaper if you sign on as a coach. Not 200. More like 120. About 4 bucks a day, not a big deal really.
