I had to do that with a fingernail

another time I mashed my finger , it filled up with blood and after about an hour was pounding so hard I couldn't stand it anymore , I thought I was going to puke and cry at the same time . I tried to heat up a paper clip and a needle but couldn't get them hot enough to go through my nail .

By that time I was about going out of my mind , so I went out to my shop , chucked a small drill bit in my cordless drill and drilled through my nail , pain and instant relief all in one

Between skating for 9 years and motocross for 4 too many to name but the ones that come to mind is 2 broken wrists at the same time, needed surgery to fix them and now have metal screws and rods in each one. Bailed on a 20ft jump on the bike and cracked my helmet, broke my nose, broke my hand, sprained my knee, broke 5 ribs and fractured 2, and severely bruised my spine. That wreck was by far the worst. Turns out, 3 years later my shoulder injuries were worse than what the docs said, had problems ever since but just finally got an MRI, I have a rotator tear and a partial arterial tear and may need surgery which is gonna suck cause recovery time for it is 2-3 months and I'm a F-16 mechanic for the military.

Nope. It just hurt like a mofo.
Don't want to experience it. Patients come in screaming for sumatriptan. One guy described it as feeling like getting the worst brain freeze for hours on end. FUCK THAT.

Yepp thats exactly how it feels, it feels like someone is piercing your brain from the inside its horrible. sumatriptan is nice i have a bunch of the nasal sprays just in case. I remember taking alot of heavy doses of toradol too. i had a migraine caused by high C02 levels mine was 109 normal people are 30-40 i was like that for two days... crying for meds every 4-6 hours is horrible... its like a forced hibernation no food no tv no drinks no nothing all you want to do is sleep the pain away.

Most intense short term: Dislocated and broken elbow. Football, imagine a bent the wrong way elbow .. I had fallen and planted my arm to catch myself, someone fell and the crown of their helmet shattered my elbow in the wrong direction.

Most intense lasting hours: Wisdom teeth removal, I don't know why.

Some people like me went through the wisdom teeth removal with no problems outside of the normal recovery and I had all 4 of mine cut out but I have a few friends who had 2 pulled and then the other 2 pulled months later and had the worst pain ever because of dry socket and other reasons. I know everyone has a different pain tolerance, some higher than others, but with wisdom teeth it seems like it will either fuck you up or be no different than a scrape on the knee

That happened during my second wrist surgery but thankfully I did a different procedure from the first one that involved getting 2 shots in the armpit with 4" needles to numb my entire arm up for 24-36 hours. The shots however hurt like a mofo!

Yea, I think I have a rather high pain tolerance. Out of 10 tho, the elbow was an immediate 9, I screamed involuntarily, calming to a 6-7. The wisdom teeth, all 4 came out at once, were a constant throbbing 7-8 for a full day.
