Yea, I think I have a rather high pain tolerance. Out of 10 tho, the elbow was an immediate 9, I screamed involuntarily, calming to a 6-7. The wisdom teeth, all 4 came out at once, were a constant throbbing 7-8 for a full day.

My wisdoms werent pain, I took the vicadin tho thats for sure. the numbing needle is worse then the aftermath i think. i just threw out my back a couple days ago and that quick immense sharp throbbing pain in my back threw me down instantly and made me almost hyperventilate i was trying so hard to breath though the paralyzing pain!

Walked through a bar fight a few years back and caught a knife to the butt cheek. Haha. I laughed but was pissed at the same time. I laughed cause of all the wild things to happen on a night out in Vegas but was pissed cause we JUST got downtown to the bars. When I got to the ER for stitches I wasn't laughing anymore cause the blade was 1/8 of an inch from my femoral artery and chipped the tip of my tailbone.

Just kick back afterwards and enjoy the pain meds! Right now I'm relaxing and enjoying my loritabs for my shoulder. Just don't eat solid foods or suck on anything (insert perverted puns here, lol). If you suck on anything like suckers or drink through straws that can increase your chances of drysocket, and trust me, you DO NOT want that.

    Deal! ;)

They're giving me 7 days worth of ibuprofen, motrin, and percocet... I'm just worried that I'm one of those people that experiences horrible pain from wisdom teeth removal...

Tore my rotor cuff in right shoulder. Its weird during a 2 hr period i went from having a good arm to struggling to throw it across the diamond. I thought my arm was still attached to the baseball. 12 yrs later if i sleep with my arm above my shoulder i have to break it loose.

I used to hate needles like crazy when I was younger, I'd imaging having your arm numb for a day or more would suck. I don't have that much of a problem with needles now, when I got my teeth removed the nurse was new and I was the test subject for inserting the IV.

Thanks! I'm hoping I recover quickly! I'm volunteering to work a booth at a archery tournament next Saturday 3 days after my surgery, should be interesting... Haha

I haven't had too many injuries...

Broke my right wrist in 1st grade. Was told that if I somehow break it again it probably won't heal correctly, not sure how that happens? Haha
Broke my left wrist in 2nd grade as well.

Busted the right side of my face open when I was 13 from jumping of my friend's bmx bike and slamming my face onto the dirt road. Wasn't too bad, except I looked green for an hour and couldn't see straight for the rest of the day. Obviously got a concussion haha

Then when I was 14 I was going downhill about 35mph on my bmx bike and the front tire caught a rock and slung me over busting the right side of my face again. Except this time I slid on my face pretty far and the skin on the whole side of my face was cut up and a small rock lodged itself into the skin over my eye socket. Took forever to get all of the sand and rock out, and I still have a scar from where the rock was lodged and I was within millimeters of having a rock lodge into my eye.... I had to be told what happened the next day, and it's still a complete blank to me. Also, no lie, after that I don't remember any of my childhood before that.... Pretty intense evidently....

I say start off with taking your percocet when it hurts but try to save them for when you go to bed so you sleep. Iburprofen and motrin don't really do shit for me

I've never taken anything stronger than ibuprofen, let alone a narcotic like percocet! Haha I'm going to take mainly the percocet for the first couple of days, then take everything else and just leave the percocet for sleeping like you said. It's what the dentist recommended as well.

You should be more than fine for the archery tournament aside from slightly swollen cheeks. 24 hours after mine were cut out I was able to eat normal food again...it took a little longer than usual to eat but I could eat

I know it's bad but when I get prescribed pain killers I jump all over them! haha. It's such a wonderful high but I usually save them for night so I can sleep and NEVER take them at work because of all the high risk activities that take place with my job or when I know I'll be running a lot of errands. When you take them make sure you don't have to drive anywhere. You can get a slight "buzz" to "drunk off your ass can't move" feeling from them.

Haha I was a pretty crazy kid from 10-15, probably should have been on Ritalin during those times honestly! But pretty much after that last hit when I was 14, I started taking a lot less risks... Haha

Oh, another one! My friend was trying to "scare" me by darting the fourwheeler narrowly between trees, then he hit one and my nose slammed into his back. Started bleeding pretty good but it didn't break.

And that made me think oof another one! Haha my first day at my first job I got called in to cover somebody that usually cleans dishes. So I was not even doing my job.. Anyways about halfway through the day a plate slipped out of my hand and I tried to catch it but it hit the edge of the table first. Sliced the litle web thing right between my fingers all the way down to my knuckle, definitely the most blood I've ever seen! I was perfectly fine, just cleaning the cut trying to get it to stop bleeding. Next thing I know I lose my hearing and eyesight and come to in the back office with my hand wrapped up!

I'm the same way when it comes to relieving pain! Haha I'm only 5' 4" and 120 lbs so these meds will definitely hit me hard! Also, right now I'm just sitting at a desk all day. But since I'm getting Wednesday-Sunday off, by the time I go back to work I should be good to go.
