New user here visiting from Jeep Wrangler world... This looks great and I've been considering building the same, or buying one already made. Would you be willing and able to share your spreadsheet of parts and cost? I know this will cost me more to build than buy, but I'm trying to determine how much more.

    Thanks!

I took all my inspiration and instruction from this excellent thread. A few pages in there is a spreadsheet of parts. It's important to know what parts do what, so you can tailor your order to what you need (I wasn't doing the aftermarket overhead switches, etc.). I messed this up a little bit and have a ground wire run that I don't need.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-build-and-install-a-bussmann-rtmr-fuse-relay-block.399454/

I think I'm in for about $500-$525 with my need to go back a couple times for things I forgot.

Awesome thanks. Is the $500 estimate with all tools and parts (i.e. did you start with absolutely zero) or do you already have some things. For instance, I've got wire strippers, soldering iron, etc, but would need to get the specific crimpers for weatherpack, battery cable lugs, etc. I can see the cost ramping up as well due to minimum quantities and such. Will definitely give that link a thorough read though... Thanks again.

I had an iron, helping hands (highly recommended), heat gun, good set of strippers, diagonal cutters, standard crimper/stripper. I bought two cheap crimps, the weather pack one did everything except the molex terminals.

If you have Never Seize & Stainless fasteners you should be good. Start every one first then tighten later. Most of all, have Fun. :)

Actually, yes. Although there's two small issues.

One, I forgot to have the brackets that come with it powdercoated. I'll be taking those back off tomorrow, painting them, and throwing them back on. Not a huge deal.
Two, my top cut went great. Looks perfect. The sides, however, there's a gap between the plastic and the metal. Most people won't notice it though.

Fiber-reinforced Dremel wheel took care of it like a champ.

Man, the throw from this bumper light isn't quite what I was expecting (which, to say, I didn't know what to expect). It's very narrow, and tall. It'll light up everything from five feet in front of me on the ground to 1500' away 75' in the air. I will get a picture at some point when I'm not in danger of interfering with the ISS's operations.

All I do is renovate shit and drive to soccer, so here's an exciting update to the OP picture.

I generally like the song, but what gets me every time is what I consider to be the most brutal "own" lines in the history of music.
