I have been thinking about tinting the front windows to match the back for a few months now, but when you are in the truck it's kinda hard to see the difference between the two. I got my first real good look in indirect light this morning coming out of Lowes how different it really is.

So that's next up on the agenda since the wheels don't have an ETA.

Slightly worried the wheel bling will look really odd with the stock A30s.

Weather has broken a bit this weekend, highs in the mid 80s vs 90s. My shop has a window AC unit, but I still don't really enjoy being out there when it's really hot. It can only cool it down about 10° or so, which works if I need it to, but for the past several years I tend to do less during summer. I only got this unit about four years ago, so I certainly appreciate it.

MIL wanted these old speaker boxes taken down to bare wood, they stained the shit out of these. Had to get some 40 grit paper for the Rotex, and it still took forever.

During these hot months when I'm not doing much I tend to have thoughts about selling off my tools, but that passes when I can start enjoying them again. If I sold them I could have a bitching overlander. :anonymous:

When the new wheels arrive, the only chrome left on the outside will be in the lights and the badges. So should I black out the badges or do we not need any stinking badges?

What are they paying you to advertise for them?

I took off the dealer badge the first week. I was talking about the Tacoma door badges and the V6 badge on the back.

99% positive I'm removing the V6 badge, I just didn't know if removing the door badge would make the sides too plain. Especially because I'm also thinking about removing the Sport graphic once the new wheels go on.

Tint is on. Pinnacle 25, a really close match for the factory smoked rear. Was going to do a cheaper one, but they were out and got this ceramic at 10% off.

The outside looks just right, from inside the fronts are ever so slightly darker. It will take a little getting used to.

And yes, my door isn't aligned properly. When the fuel pump recall hits I'm going to ask about it. I thought it was the vinyl, but the door lines are slightly off.

I debadged my second gen the minute I got it home. I did the same with my first gen before I knew what debadging was. It just looks cleaner IMO.

Yeah, going to start with the V6 badge and see how easy it is.

New game, what comes first: wheels or parts for the fuel pump recall.

No, I mean what will arrive first at the dealer. Both are out of my hands unless I switch to the black or grey ones.

Hairdryer or heat gun on low and fishing line or floss. Won’t damage the paint at all. Roll the adhesive off by hand after and buff/polish. Better to do it ASAP as if you wait too long the paint will age on the truck and under the badge will look different.

The recall is out of my hands. Of course, it's only been ten days since I ordered the wheels, too.

I'm just so impatient. I have absolutely no need to change them up, but I want something to literally and figuratively brighten my days.

Would it be uncouth to like this?

It doesn't normally rain this much in summer. Thunderstorms, sure, but huge systems moving through constantly no.

The humidity is irrepressible and unforgiving.
