So I get in my truck to head to work and notice my passenger side ditch light pointed right at me. I thought ok, haha, someone at work messed with me and I didn't notice it last night. I look at the driver side and see the pigtail dangling. Nope, someone tried to jack me. Luckily I used tamper proof hardware on the mounting bolt and on the inside bolt of the led pod housing. So all they did was cut the driver side, and twist the passenger side a couple times to no avail. Oh and they took the amber cover I had on the driver side. So I guess I got the last laugh, when I got to work I checked everything else and it seems untouched. Still an aggravating situation, looking into installing a motion light TONIGHT and cameras in the bear futere. Here are the pics...

In short... Fuck whoever tried to do this.

Can you elaborate on the tamper proof hardware? I just used the hardware they came with.

Its tamper proof torx, just makes it a little bit more difficult. And I put loctite on everything so it makes it even more of a pain to loosen.

Ah yeah I was gonna say even with the tamper proof torx it still has a regular nut, usually a swift motion will break it and its free for the taking at that point. I suggest a nylon lock nut so even if its broke loose you still have to hold the other side with the nylon, glad to see you weren't victim to theft besides re wiring that pod

I wish they offered more options, Some of those style heads I would be afraid of stripping the head when its time to remove. The torx is really the only good option and you can buy those drivers anywhere

http://www.shocksecurity.com This would be a nice option but limited in sizes and kind of pricey

    https://www.belmetric.com/tamper-proof-hardware-c-1228.html

I'm pretty sure the 6mm ones are for the sides of the pods and the 8mm are for the base, and pretty much anything else I've used to make it "tamper proof".

I used the tamper proof torx but now I see they have the 2 pin style which is cool, but sucks it's only in 6mm. And I used blue loctite along the entire length of thread so there's no way to loosen by hand.

What tamper proof hardware are you using, I have pods mounted as well and wouldn't want this to happen to me
