Nothing in the archives about stolen running boards, but my Havoc H2's got stolen from my driveway last night. They were on about 2 weeks. They also took my TruckXport bed cover and Toyota rail tie downs that were about 3 years old. No broken glass, so it's clear they were just going for the accessories.
Not sure if I'll go through my insurance. Probably won't replace the steps if they'll just get lifted again, but I am willing to take the chance on the bed cover because it was awesome.
Happy to hear suggestions. (Police report filed)
    Maggie

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
Where the hell do you live? Compton? I can't imagine people stilling items like that off my truck in my driveway let alone taking the time to take off things that require tools to remove.

That sucks. You can probably find some Torx security bolts to use instead of the standard bolts. Or get some weld-on sliders :D

Well that sucks. If you decide to get everything again. Maybe change the bolts to torx heads? less likely that they would have a set of those when lifting. Just a thought.
Don't know where you live but if my stuff got lifted like that I would think they've been eyeing it for a while.

o_O Sorry to hear about the thefts. I have a BakIndustries RollX on my bed. A bit pricy at ~$750, however it locks.

Have a good rest of your week.

I'm just outside DC and park in a metro lot (on the fringes of the lot to avoid door dings). They didn't break any glass, so it seems they were really after the running boards and the bed cover was an easy extra.
I'm just as surprised as the rest of ya'll. The police officer said "I've never been on this street".
Given the bed cover was on for years, I'm guessing those Havoc's were just too much to resist. They sure were pretty and helpful steps!

If you get another set of running boards, tack weld'm - (bolt to running board) prime n paint. It's not like you're gonna remove them monthly.

    It's complicated.
All of the local thieves carry power tools, and they have every security bit key made (and they fabricate their own.)

Someone on TW was using torx security bolts, but he had tig welded a ball of steel into each head.

Obviously not an option for someone who needs to remove the part/item, but it will absolutely stop all but the most determined thief.

Since I'm local to you, I'll make a guess and say somewhere in PG County or possibly Arlington-ish.
