I hade the 33/11.5/R16 they were a good tire but super loud on the highway

Really? That is interesting, guess I got them at the right chance to try them out lol. If I did purely offroad I would totally have kept them but with my one road driving too I had to get something else. Plus one had a bubble developing in the sidewall.

 

Well first off thank you . You know I thought that very same thing about missing the space but I have found that I really don't. The only thing that I would warn about is making sure that the Cb wont stick out so far that you can make use of the cup holders. If i have a sizable container in those cup holders it will push it over a little bit but as long as it has some kinda top on it it'll be fine. As for mounting it it wasn't to much of a pain. Just get a circle cutter and cut a hole out of the back of the compartment that is big enough for the antenna cable. From there I just ran the power chord above the pedals and out through a point in the cab, added a fuse, hooked it to the battery, and was done.

 

you talkin about between the doors on the driver side? That could be dangerous lol Another possible thing is in the driver side door drink holder space. I mean you would have to run the antenna cable through the door but it wouldn't be to bad I don't think.

 

well i don't mean like a mechanical danger, just the turning around to look at it and reaching your arm around back in there lol.

Well that would work. I mean wheeling you would just turn it on to one channel and then not really worry about changing channels after that.

Sweet then, that is a good idea for it. I use mine everywhere I go, highway or offroad. Makes it nice to be able to glance at it really quick and know the channel I'm on along with all the adjustments. Post up pics if you do it!

 

haha, it works out pretty well man. I really like it and like I said I dont miss the space. I actually keep a multi tool wedged in there so I always know where it is and it doesn't go anywhere no matter how hard I bounce

Ya, I just need to get access to a welder, which texasislandboy has, and then I will probably do it. What exactly happens when it caves? I mean it just bends down some right? It just doesn't seem like a huge ordeal and seems like you would really have to be raggin on it to make it budge.
