Girlfriend drove her jetta across the country to visit family and arrived yesterday. She totalled up her diesel and hotels for the trip and it was $15 more than my projections for taking the tacoma and camping. She was sad, said camping would have been much better than cheap hotels. I was glad, tacoma and RTT FTW.

Is it possible for you to snap a picture of the PanaVise Mount and the MobArmor mount as I'm trying to get some ideas. Thanks

My ground rack is a roof rack again. Finally.

Definitely! I'll snap a couple next time I go to the driveway.

Alright @PreRunnerMan, I got around to snapping some pics for you today. The metal disc in the photos is the mount that comes with the mob armor. It has an adhesive backing that's much stronger than you'd think. I also use the panavise as pictured. 85db4a1d9cf9d5b9193a09c87302e745_0b9cca47ff14e8de2a548d9433a9de124750c749.jpg7765d82ec6e03f4307e0d3a6f6899772_ff3ecebff8bd6e8d86d1b3f519e86e0291a7f4da.jpg11afd75957ea91bfd9040fd68787ceab_94cbe6c6193bd0513d54d7c4951512b230c28212.jpg0aa18f78c826b2c854ceccce35b634a5_bacf2ea965295354bf267ccd7ebd30c6a5c4d758.jpg3b30c823484cf23e2a6044c0c8290147_b41045e1b33eeb9c5a6611497bd53dac7f4e2f1c.jpg

mine came with two mounting discs, so i can create two different locations, I have the 2010 2wd, so i put my first one where your 4wd dial is at and like it there. But how do you like the angle from where the panavise is?

I love it on the panavise for most things. It's a little far away if I'm actively using the phone (scrolling around a GPS app, etc), but the viewing angle is fine.

Been slaving away with renos in my spare time so no real news on the mod front, but I did this today! It'll be a long time until I see such a beautifully repetitive odo again.

I didn't see you waving, but I think I remember seeing your truck as I drove by! Dark colour (maybe MGM?) with a Tepui on the bed?

Right on! Where do you live? If you're ever in the area again give me a shout

Yeah... that highway is a pretty bad for construction right now. The intersection by the rec center going through town is one of my projects, then there's the microsurfacing to the south and the realignment north of town. How far up the highway did you go?

Were you coming from Alaska? Sounds like nice road trip :)

I want to plan a trip up through Alaska and Yukon, maybe for next summer. I need some recruits before I can get too into the planning though :( @loco @ckeene9 @NYCO @AaronArf .. any interest from you guys? My significant other should be in her own FJ by then but that's still only a two rig convoy

I live in Fort Nelson and grew up in southern BC, so I've seen most of what there is to offer. I love it here, but I want to get out and see something new!

Bit too far for a road trip. AK is definitely on my list but it'll be a flying in type trip.

I did a little tinkering this weekend... sanded rust and repainted my front bumper, painted my Grillcraft in matching bedliner, finally wired my in cab winch switch, and moved my aux fuse block out of the way of the supercharger that goes in in two weeks. I still need to move the breakers but that'll be a much less time consuming project once I figure out where to put them. I sprayed the behind grill light bars in some fresh flat black too. The China paint baked off and they were looking basically bare aluminum. Condensation is pretty bad in the top one, but I plan on replacing with a better pair of light bars down the line so not going to bother taking it apart and sealing it better.

Also put some dynamat on the back of my roof rack wind deflector. Seems to have helped a little with wind noise/vibration.
