I paid the regular brokerage and taxes at the border, but no real issues getting the rack. I really like the rack so far; low profile and good build quality. I don't plan on putting much weight up there (rifle cases full of recovery gear and some maxtrax), but it seems like it could support a decent load.

I'm always looking for things that don't detract too much from the factory look so I wasn't into any of the 10" high steel boxes people put on their roofs; this really fit the bill for me.

Pic of the weatherstripping back on the roof. I doubt anyone else would notice the difference, but I'm much happier with it back up there.

Also paid for the last bit of my bed rack from SOS Concepts. It's in production and should be shipping out in the next couple days. It'll hold a RTT, Hilift, and the "basket" is the perfect size for (2) 35x12.5 spare tires. 37's will fit as well of course, but they will stick out the back slightly. Here are the drawings I supplied them:

pretty sweet rack man, you're really gonna do 37's though? I have another annoying question, I've heard the 2012's have suffered lower fuel mileage in a few cases. Is that your experience? I believe the re-spec'd motor is supposed to get 20-25MPG.

I really would like to do 37s. I'm hoping to check out a few rigs running them on the upcoming moab trip. Seeing them in person should finalize my decision :D

I get terrible fuel economy. I don't have anything else to compare to though.

Installed some LED strip lights under the hood yesterday. Really happy with them, but I don't trust the double sided tape they came with. I'm going to add some extra adhesive of some kind every foot or so to make sure they don't fall down and ruin EVERYTHING.

And I ordered 2 pairs of black maxtrax and some mounting pins in the group buy this morning. Excited :)

Poor credit card is really getting a work out lately. Ordered some extra recovery gear (spare treesaver, replacement shackle for the one I lost in the deep snow last weekend, and a couple snatch blocks) and one of the plano rifle cases for my roof rack. The plano was on sale on Amazon.ca so it seemed like a good time to pull the trigger.

Got a gas tank skid today too. It's UHMW from Nathan at trail toys. A lot of the hardware was lost in shipping so I can't mount yet, but Nathan is sending replacements and I hear he's packaging them differently now. Can't wait to get that installed too!!

Got some goodies in the mail today. Enough snatch blocks to winch myself backwards (as long as surrounding trees are laid out well), a spare tree saver and a couple shackles.

Went back to summer mode last night. Swapped back over to the summer tires and put the tonneau back on in preperation for ~4000km of driving in the next couple days.

My bed rack shipped a couple weeks ago and I'm going to pick it up this week in WA. Pretty excited.

Ordered a CVT RTT in the group buy this morning too. It'll be meeting me at Moab next month :)

IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS OVER HERE!! Where to start!?

I drove ~4500km last week, mostly for business, but I added a little bit onto the trip to pick up my custom bed rack! I just realized I didn't take any pictures of it.. and now it's off of the truck waiting for paint. Stay tuned.

I stopped in my home town along the way and went for an afternoon of wheeling with my little bro:

Then I got back to the office on Thursday and was swamped with catch up work the last couple days. But... the courier came knocking on the door with more goodies just now! I got the replacement hardware for my UHMW gas tank skid so I can mount that up, and I got all the maxtrax I ordered in the group buy! A set of orange for my wheeling buddy here and two in black that will be mounted on my roof rack. It was the fullest box I have ever seen. They told me the black was back ordered until the end of next month so when the package showed up I thought they may have just sent the orange separately. The box seemed awfully heavy so I peaked inside and...

Thanks Brandon. Do you have a build thread going for yours?

EDIT: If you hurry you might still be able to get in on the group buy. I think it was good all month.

Got a couple things done this weekend! Changed rear diff fluid, spent FOREVER getting the drain plug out of the front diff (had to drill and use an extractor, need to pick up a new plug before I can finish the job), placed my center console switch panel and pulled most of the wires, and put my plano rifle case on the roof rack. Also drilled holes in my light bar mounts and mounted a roof rack cross bar through them.

Changed the spark plugs today. That's the first time I've done it since I bought it, but it looks the PO was doing their maintenance. The old ones didn't look too bad abf23d2eded514ab91bc63bdcef90600_05284df5ff7f649a5a1c5a7229290fdd5e6608e0.jpg

Organized my recovery gear in the plano rifle case too. Just enough room left for another 20 or 30' tow strap. 8e9e001487943570fc51cd7af3ece3d5_5b80f4bd6d99a423c5637abcf9685be163997676.jpg
