    Installed the ds18s but I have to crank it all the way up to 50-55, also found that the harness and the plug is orientated the opposite way of the speakers so I had to twist the tweeters around so the bolts would have to fit. Is this normal or I need to switch my left to right and right to left tweeters.

    Old thread but why not.

    In the field of physics, theories come with a lot of math to make a prediction and a lot of data to show the prediction was correct. Rather than a crash course on RCL filters to prove the filtering you claim, we could do it experimentally. Grab your function generator and inject frequencies through the head unit to map out the various speakers’ response.

    From there we can have the chat about the quality of the source. For all we know the great reviews are from people using YouTube to play music…

    And after that the discussion about the baked-in bias of justifying a purchase… My bias is that it’s a truck, not a quiet room with nice over-ear headphones so it ain’t worth my time or money.
