I found this set of wheels and tires for sale locally for $250 the wheels are 16" but not sure on the tire size. I offered him $200 and is supposed to get back to me. I plan on buying these and painting them black for my 02 Gold DC. Would they look ok or stupid?[IMG]

I've seen them listed around me for 600, but then again, i dont know what kind of condition these are in, or what condition the 600 ones were in

also dont know about the tires

but you might want to plasti dip them before painting them to see the color. I know that a lot of the guys on here plastidip them and leave them (i dont)

Watch the back space on the first gen.
I put some 17" sports on an 02 and they were very close to hitting the upper control arm.
If the ORs are the same backspace then you may not be able to use larger or wider anyways tires on the wheels.
I think they will look good.

Good buy. You'll be fine if you stick with 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 otherwise you'll need some wheel spacers.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me as long as they are in good condition. I sold my TRD OR rims and stock rugged trails for $500 on craigslist with only 2000 miles on them (but I got pretty lucky with that price), but I would say 200 is a good deal as long as they're not beat up. You can search for trd offroad rims in the buy/sell/trade forum here and get an idea of how much they go for, there's been quite a few sold on here
