It would get me in there I can't say that would gereate a sale and make it worh while for Toyota to do that, but when I talk to people over the phone at the dealer they express some frustration when they don't have them available. I haven't seen a single SR5 Xtracab allocation available in my state. Maybe all the old boomers are good with their 3G access cabs and 5G super cabs, and don't need new trucks?

Took me 4 dealerships before someone was willing to get an XC for me. Toyota doesn't seem to produce many, but the sales guys told me whenever they get one in it sells almost immediately.

They don't last long and I will sometimes see them discounted makes me wonder who is buying them and getting the discount last I looked they would drop 1000 off the price must have been a factory incentive. I saw a local dealer get a 24 and 25 this year, but who around here buys prerunners? I was thinking once the trucks come a shore the truck going west stops at the dealer just so they can take pictures advertise and put it on another truck to take to the allocated dealer. That don't make any sense, but none of the allocation process does.

Holy smokes. Wasn’t expecting this to blow up, negatively

Look, the dealer can add on whatever they want and charge what they want. That to me is the lesser of the problems here even though they couldn’t even tell me what the brand of lift they added was but I digress. It’s the $5,000 market adjustment that aggravates me. This is a 2024 model, that in a few months will be 2 years old. They should be doing a market adjustment to lower the price to sell it, IMO. And to reply directly to @fiftysix , I did want to buy it stock. It was listed stock, even had pictures of it for much less. They added this while in discussions.

To reply to the others, the only reason I was interested this far away is because it’s a solar octane which is the only color I’d upgrade to. I have a fully loaded sport and if it’s not the color I want with the options I want, I’m not interested. I found one, thought I’d sniff around. I’ve also been one of the biggest supporters on this forum for 4th gen trucks. There is a ton of negativity here for sure but I am 100% not one of them. I want one of these trucks very badly.

Anywho, carry on about charging cables and what not.

What a weird choice of words. I was over it 5 minutes after I made the post, hence why it took me 4 days to check this thread.

We can only know what you write, and we can’t know the details you leave out.

As for the lift - sticker says Outlaw Customs Lift.

a quick google search shows that Outlaw is a SATX custom shop. Maybe worth a phone call to ask about that truck. https://outlawsa.com/

    A
nd the rest of what folks say still goes. If the truck isn’t what you want, keep looking, Slimy dealers will be slimy dealers. Whether you let that fact of life upset you is yours to manage

They're all spacer lifts or trd lifts. That's all dealers use.

There are people out there willing to pay it, and they'll keep doing it.

Last year a local dealer (not one I use) dolled up an SR5 with a lift and some tires. I want to say it listed for almost $60K. For a friggin' SR5 o_O

    It sold though.

Yep, we can fuss and fume all we want, but these guys do it because they know it only takes finding that one buyer.

This forum is an anomaly as we all like to do our own mods and stuff. But, most of the average dude bro's see one all done up already at the dealer and they're ready to sign the line for 84 months.

Good news is that Toyota can’t stop cranking out more inventory so there’s cash on the hood everywhere right now. Great time to buy a Tacoma.

Even the dealer that sold Fred Flintstone his Cavemobile tried to add on extras. Don’t pay it, and just buy discounted factory stock from another dealer. No outrage is necessary.

I also remember seeing that. I remember seeing some Mercedes GT-R was 300k with a 300k markup.
