I’ve ran Michelin all my life. Bought some Falken Wildpeaks and couldn’t be happier.

My K02's are fine in the rain, the only time they are a little slick is when they first get wet, but after that perfectly fine in the wet western foothills.

Spot on for me. K02s were good in most cases but slick wet roads and mud they failed miserably.

I had the original BFG KO tires on my hilux years ago and it sucked in rain. Haven’t had an AT tire since but by all means stay away from nitto. Had multiple sets of their street tires between me and my friends. They all suck in rain. He also has ridge grapplers and they suck too.

the continental all terrain has got some very good reviews though.

This, play with the air pressures. A few lbs make a difference with a pickup. I do not have KOs but it's been the same for my km2's, toyo MTs and now my pro xtreme mt2s. If I air them up even close to the recommended air pressure on the street the trucks all over the place, do a chalk test and drive them around in the rain and I bet they will get better.

I live in WA and put on SL Discoverer AT3 4S. They are outstanding in the rain. Only thing I can compare to is stock and they are way way better.

I wonder if this is why people have such different experiences. I know a lot of people air their E rated tires to 40+ psi. I run mine at 32. Also SL typically are better on wet pavement than E. Though betting most get the E KO2. Just saying there’s a few factors.

Yah good to point that out. No point in a lighter truck needing that much PSI. I would run them in mid 30’s was still no good but SL vs A/T and E rated will make a diff. All comes down to how you use them. Not a race truck on the street so drive diff if you buy for Offroad performance

I have the Cooper ST Maxx and have had no issues in the rain. Would buy them again.

My brothers drive Jeeps and have the Cooper AT3 4S all year round in PA. They’ve been great for traction in everything.

Either of those get my vote.

I really like my Kumho AT51 they're really good in the rain and snow and I see plenty of both.

Michelins, Yokohamas, Firestones and Coopers in that order. Pathfinders if you are broke and when they are half dead junk them for another set.

Pathfinders are Cooper, they're rebadged specifically for Discount Tire to market as their own.

Exactly. I had E rated 255/85/16 KM2s on my 1st gen that rarely had anything in the bed besides a spare and I would run them at like 22psi. Anything over that it would be almost undrivable in the rain. I also think that's why those tires "ride rough", people run them at too high a pressure. Once you slap non stock tires on something, the recommended air pressure chart goes out the window and you need to either do chalk tests or seat of your pants driving tests to dial the pressures in. I would even run our 2015 camrys tire pressures on the low side of the recommended range in the winter so we weren't fighting the traction control in the wet and snow when I lived in illinois.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
The KO2s in Mud they have been great, been a couple times where I could not slid off the road or I’d be really screwed - steep embankment- and they pulled me through deep rutted out logging road from full size pickups.
The aussies tested them and those guys run the Goodyear mTRs.

I ran BF Goodrich All terrain for decades. For the first decade, they were the only game in town. Over the last decade, many more players have entered the market.

The BF Goodrich K02 do SUCK! The Toyo AT are a little better, but the General ATx is by far the best All terrains made(IMO).

    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=ORAT&width=275/&ratio=70&diameter=17&advSort=Y&advRecommend=0&advOffRoad=0&advWet=5&advDry=0&advWinter=5&advComfort=0&advTreadwear=0

Also, fyi, I did chalk test on mine and came out with 30psi rear and 36psi front.
