It sounds more like you have the wrong product for your use case. Have you considered BFG Trail Terrains rather than the KO2s? The KO2s are closer to the M/Ts and the Trail Terrains are closer to the Advantages. Both are AT tires but the Trail Terrains have better road manners and the KO2s have better trail manners. It would also help to know what pressure you are running.

Edit: I really need to start looking at the date of OP's post. My bad OP, I don't think the Trail Terrains were out when you posted. My mistake. Leaving my post for future reader consideration.

I had wildpeaks for 30-40k miles which were pretty decent and still had alot of tread left when I sold them.

I run Toyo AT3 and they are loads better than the wildpeaks, especially in rain. I can pretty much gun it in 2nd gear in a downpour and they grip like mad.

I like my KO2s, but I think a combination of road materials in this area, no weight over the rear axle, and rain make them absolutely terrible in wet road conditions. When I am driving with a few bags of sand in the back it helps significantly, so I'm sure a topper would help.

Ran ko2 and km3 they sucks during the rain. Bad traction a lot of fishtailing. Maybe if I had a heavier bed could of been better.
