Thank you for making it more clear for me. I just did not really understand if I should be doing the TSB's (mainly the stumble) or wait to see if they incorporate them all in a recall; then go in at one time.

Again the truck would have to exhibit the stumble condition first for it to be applicable for the TSB to be applied. AFAIK not all trucks stumble, have diff howl, diff leak, R-D delay or some of the others out there. Those that do get the TSB applied automatically.

6 months and 5,000 miles on my 2018 Sport. Zero issues. Love the truck. I was even pretty happy with the transmission shifting (after the initial learning period). I just had my first service last Tuesday and asked the service advisor to do the TSB. Did it with no problem or hassle. I think the truck drives better. My mpg definitely improved by almost 2 mpg. One very happy Taco owner.

Better mpg is enough for me! I plan on asking for the same when I take my truck in for the first service.
    thanks again to all.

I apologize for the ignorance, I am chevy guy who had been a frequent forum goer. I have been reading this forum for some time before and after the purchase of my '18 SR Tacoma. I love it but the shifting is a bit annoying for me. I see you had the dealership do the TSB at your first appointment and I just finished mine a few weeks ago. Is this something I can ask the dealership to look up and do with the TSB? My only complaint is the shifting as I feel it is more my particular nature. But from reading numerous threads, it appears to be a common issue that if I were to resolve, I would have zero complaints.

I just referenced TSB 0058-18 and said that my truck had those symptoms.

That's not correct, the tsb is listed here and so is the pdf to print out. The tsb is covered under the 80000 mile 96 month warranty.
Here is a list and some have the pdf, not sure if all of them do.

that's the reason I hold most service writers in high esteem. people don't come in and tell them how well their vehicle drives, so every minute of every day they are getting negative reinforcement. if you've got a good service department working on your truck, let them know it!

how many of us would flourish in that vocational environment?
