A little update. My stock battery finally took a shit on me, main reason I didnt make it to the Pismo Jam this year even though I was only 30 minutes away:annoyed:

If I was home I could have gotten a sweet discount on a Optima Yellow top but I was 3hrs away from home so I settled on a Duralast Gold battery. Kicks up like a champ now!

    Thanks.

Hey question for you. I am installing a Brute Force Hybrid on another Colorado Members truck this weekend. It appears to be a straight forward install. Anything unique or special that I should know about for the install?

The only thing you have to cut is the small metal hoop up front on the drivers side. Other than that there is nothing to it.

Are you installing the reinforcement plates too?

Good question. I am currently not aware of this but need to ask the member about that. Are they listed on the Brute Site?

I don't think Billy has them listed on the site yet. I believe the customer has to request them. Beefy as hell though.

Low temps and working with metal hand tools always makes me feel manly. Get them space heaters going!

Also, on the frame horn you might have to grind down some of the weld where it will meet the bumper. Mine had a huge amount of weld me and Billy had to get rid of.

I'm pretty sure the other member knows how to install the reinforcment brackets.

Nice truck man! Perhaps I missed it while reading through the thread but I am curious as to what type of lights those are you mounted that replaced the stock fogs, and how did you mount them up to the hybrid bumper?

    What he said.

Build has paused as I have started shooting and buying stuff for my AR. For my wallets sake I chose to have one hobby at a time....kinda.

But I have some king 600lb coils lined up and a revalve on my front C/O's because I want it to ride like a Caddy.

    Trucks looking good as usual!

Im in a bind, I've got some mods i want to do but not really sure which will be the most "useful" so to speak...

    -I dont wheel(prerunner)
    -I dont particulary need armor
-A CB seems to be the next to-do mod, but i dont know if i'll even use it for it's designed purpose.

I feel like im at an impasse. I dont have any real mods to do next, suspension would be next but i want something that rides like a caddy on the road and if i ever were to hit the occasional mild trail, i wouldnt have troubles as well.

-Billies@ 0 w/ eibaichs w/ the progressive AAL looks to be whats logical(no UCAs needed, slight lift and performance gains.)

-But the opportunity has came to get some Walker Evan coilovers, but they'd need new coils and a rebuild... That would leave the rear lift money, gone...

but i want an ARB for the damn deer that seem to love to come close to my truck...

Hahaha, you sir have some decisions lol.

Tough ones but you really do have to take into consideration what you will be doing.

-A Cb is good to have for coms, especially in places where celly's have no reception. Even better when wheeling in a pack.

Suspension is a toughie but you can always slowly upgrade the rear starting with a 3-leaf aal.

I will say that when I had 5100's w/ 885's and 3leaf aal, I loved it. Super simple.
