Well a couple weeks ago I was looking at my truck at night (parking lights were on) and it bugged me that it only had ONE amber light and it was off to the corner in a weird spot. Not a problem for newer Tacos that have the DTRL's and yes I could have done the DTRL mod but....I didn't want to;)

I looked at my headlights any chance I had ti figure something out and noticed the spaces above and below the signal light and began to search for a light small enough to fit there.

I came across superbrightleds.com and started browsing. There were a couple options but I went with this one

The height was perfect although I wish it came in a longer size (thought about wiring two in there but decide one on each side would do.)

Did the routine BHLM steps. Drilled a hole on in the bezel and headlight housing to run the power wires for the LEDs then sealed the holes with silicon. Sorry, no pics of these steps as I didn't think it was going to work.

    Quick test of the lights

    Spliced into the corner markers

YES marvel at my glorious tape job:p

I also put quick disconnects to allow headlight removal if needed.

Bolt the headlights back up and plug the light in and voila!

And of course I gotta Instagramize it:rolleyes:

All in all it wasn't that hard to figure it out. I know it's not an extravagant mod but it's different and I ended up liking it a ton!

    Difficulty rating: 4/10

Visalia but I hang out in MB at least once a month. Sometimes I just go sit and chill on Dog Beach, your neck of the woods.
Thanks brotha. How is your beast coming along at Engage??

There is no DSM colored matched grill that is OEM because they never made a TRD Sport in that color (I used to have a DSM). Any that came were either the chrome or the base black color. I would look KILLER to have it. I should have done it to mine but never did. Your truck has always been one of my favorites and gets me nostalgic on my old on. Keep up the good work man!

Daww thanks man. I started modding mine after seeing the color scheme on yours. It "inspired" me.

BTW my ass got lost in Campbell last month I was on my way to Santa Cruz and somehow ended up in your neck of the woods.
