They crashed, bumped my truck unloading it at the dealer about a month ago. I noticed a wobble

So I collected it about a month ago. The bumper protector is scratched so they said they will replace it when it’s in stock. Since picking it up I w had a chance to inspect it a lot more. The front left gap on the bumper is closed, the rear right fender flare has been bent. So there’s a gap in it where the sealant has stretched. I noticed the front Toyota badge had a small gauge out of it. I also noticed at 45-60 kms it seems to wobble back and forth. Is it likely that the chassis is damaged or more likely just a wheel balance that’s off? I’ll be taking it in to them within a few weeks but I’m hoping that they haven’t overlooked any serious damage that might have occurred during delivery. Even though the gouge on the Toyota badge at the front isn’t noticeable unless you go really close to it, I’m tempted to mention it and maybe see if they need to change the grill then if they will offset the cost on an oem pro grille.

Welcome to TW. I'm of the opinion your truck is all set (not crashed).

I'd drive that rig to Ottawa and back

Hey thanks. I’ve being lurking for a long long time. They definitely crashed it though. They admitted it and I can see some damage. I love the truck. I was just wondering if the wobble and the incident could be related. I doubt it but stranger things have happened.

Fix the scratch and move on. Sometimes a scratch is... just a scratch.
Check your tire pressure. When a truck is new it sometimes does new things. Give it a week.. or month.

I am. It’s been over a month. It wobbles a lot on the highway at higher speeds. It’s almost shakey.

Lots of new vehicles are either not aligned properly during manufacturing or it gets out of whack during shipping, etc. My new 18 offroad was well out of spec when I took it to an alignment specialist shop.

It’s worth taking it to a good body shop and having them give it a once over and putting it on a frame machine. If they find nothing you spent $200 on your own piece of mind. If they find something, you have something to go back to the dealership with.

If it was damaged... "crashed" sounds a bit dramatic... bad enough to cause drivability issues, there would be much more damage than some scratches. Personally, I would start with checking to make sure tires are all balanced. Those weights pop off all the time.

You’re right, but a good body person will see defects in everything. I’ve seen those guys point out stuff most wouldn’t even see.

Genuinely wondering, if you were concerned about it when you picked up the truck, why did you sign and accept delivery of it?
