Coming from Jersey are lawyers are crafty here. We will sue for loss of wages too. I say ask your insurance company on next steps if it's not totaled out. I think you may have to lawyer up. No matter what you shouldn't put out a dime for anything.

Yes, you may lose your deductible. That is the gamble you play when you decide how much of a deductible you are willing to experience. As for bringing a lawsuit against the other party. Your insurance company will do that. It will include the cost of the deductible. You may get some, all or none of it back. That's life.

:rofl:For real. Or really any thread involving repairs from a third party; warranty, insurance, or otherwise.

Dealer denied your warranty claim due to raptor lights?!? Tell them they are in violation of the Mann Act and I will be consulting Jackie Chiles for legal advice!

    OP, what is your deductible?

Agree with the other posters here. Don't call the other people's insurance companies. The only insurance company that matters is the one that you have. It is their job to purse a remedy. Are we talking $500? $1,000? Very unlikely you will get that recovered (not impossible) but I would not count on it.

Bigger question. Any feedback or news from the leasing company or the dealer?

True, but if the OP insurance doesn't go after the deductible (or isn't able to), he can sue the individuals in the accident..jointly and separately in small claims court. At least in MA it only costs $40 to file that and if you win the other party/parties will be assessed that as part of the judgment.

Your insurance will try and collect the deductible. That is their job. If they can't, what makes you think you can in small claims court?

Same in NJ, small claims court is like $50 and you can bring a suite that way. Just the threat will sometimes get people to cough up some cash. But this should be what your insurance should be doing for you. Thats part of what you pay them for.

OP is in FL which is a "no fault" state. I'm no expert but unless the OP has serious injury, pretty much stuck dealing with their own insurance company. Truck is a lease so the leasing company will deal with the OP's insurance carrier on repairing the truck. Again, I'm no expert on FL insurance law but this doesn't sound like a situation that rises to the level of lawsuits. Not much to be gained. If OP is a customer, in good standing, with their insurance carrier, never hurts to ask the carrier to waive the deductible, since OP is not at fault. All they can say is "No".

Well never know. You get a crafty enough lawyer you never know what they can do.

    Chuckled out loud.

OP — I hope you’re able to recover your deductible and any gap between your damages and the max coverage from the other drivers. I was secretly rooting for you to have coverage for uninsured / underinsured in case it came to that. Sorry to hear about your woes, on the other hand worth being thankful that you’re not having this conversation with us from a hospital bed. Positivity...

The question I have is what is the deductible?

I could see a Go Fund Me to cover it ...

I definitely agree with the fact that I shouldn’t have to spend a damn time. Do to the fact that there were 4 cars involved the policy monies is going to be split between all parties to fix the cars. It’s bs, I wasn’t even part of the damn accident.

Why wouldn’t I get any of it back if they are suing for it

I agree with most of the responses here, I certainly feel that I shouldn’t have to dish any damn money out as I was just a bystander in the accident, and all the other parties should pay for my car to get fixed. I guess that’s not how it works... total bs to the fact that I might lose money on this one. And yes the insurance “might” be able to get my deductible back once they sue the other parties.

Have you had a chance to have a detailed discussion of the situation with your insurance rep and get all of these questions answered?

This is one benefit of leasing. Say you smash the lease up, doesn't get totalled and it costs $25k to repair. Your insurance fixes the truck (this is why insurance exists) and that's it. You turn the truck in with a 25k carfax report on it at lease end and walk away. Not your issue. In a finance situation or paying cash you now have a truck with a 25k claim on it that you have to own.

Yeah I definitely asked all the questions I had to, and simply put there is not enough money to dish out to cover all the vehicles although I wasn’t at fault. I have to use my policy do to the fact that there isn’t enough money to cover all the damage.
