    300 BUCKS MORE FOR 75MM MORE?, IDK IF THAT WORTH IT IMO OF COURSE

    I have a 24-105 which is a pretty nice all around lens. I think the 18-200 might be too much of a compromise--it is a good value lens just slow.

    I've heard that too. Maybe more to the way it works--if the lens is loose, it's possible for it to "zoom" on it's own. Mine does that and I really should send it in for repair.

    I went with this one instead.

    You are going to need to be awfully close to the action with that. Like in your face close.

    Which is OK. You might want to consider something in the 50 to 200 mm range too.

    I have a sigma 10-20. Great lens and a lot cheaper.

    And if you want a faster UWA the tokina 11-16 is supposed to be pretty good

    If you are able to get up close to the action you can get some cool shots with an UWA. You will still have your 18-55 if you want to step back a little. But if you are going to be going to the x-games and want to get some shots you may want a zoom-tele.
