Hey wondering if anyone can shed some light on thief proofing your lights. There is a lot of light bar thief's where I live and want to make sure this doesn't happen.

I'd use security head screws instead of the stock bolts. I use these screws to secure my license plates to the truck to prevent theft:

Now I wish they had the same solution for nuts. I have expensive KC LED lights that are secured to my bumper with standard hex nuts.

Oh now that's fascinating, I'll have to look at that.

Of course they'd be pointless after I install my Relentless Bumper because the bolt would only be accessible once you remove the bumper. I have them mounted on a grille guard with easy access from the bottom.

I'd like to see someone steal a whole plate bumper, haha.

Even if they cut the wires, security nuts would prevent them from taking the thing. Cut wires is easy to fix.

I want some of those Police Interceptor spotlights that you can adjust in the cab. My local parks and recreation department has third gens equipped with them.

Security bolts are great, the specialized tools are nearly difficult to come by. Just add a bit of JB-Weld to all your bolts. If you've got a welder, a simple tack weld will save you a lot of heartache. Anything beyond that and you should consider a more sensitive alarm.

For example: break a window on my truck, alarm goes off, police are called, GPS tracking automatically begins.

    WTF?

Okay, I might have to do this.

It would physically pain me to drill into the 'A' pillar though.
