URD Y pipe is nice. Not loud at all, no "drone." No CEL. All good.

Insurance is contractual. You get what you bargain for. I opted for high deductibles but excellent coverage from a top rated company. I could have opted for lower deductibles and lower coverage, or perhaps lower deductibles and higher premiums, or gone to a less reputable company for a "better deal" up front, but might have trouble down the road while making a claim. In fact, in Georgia I only have to have liability coverage, I did not have to contract for theft, collision, etc. I could have no premium or deductible for damages to my truck.

I chose to eat this one and fix the truck myself for around what my deductible would be had I claimed it, but that same policy treated me like a king when I hit a dear in a week old Mercedes C350.

Yup, mine was stolen in New Haven CT. I had a custom shop weld a new aftermarket one in for 200 bucks, and it's perfect. Toyota wanted over a grand for the part. I ended up making a little money back from insurance kind of. With the amount of insurance I have paid over the years, it's nice to get a tiny bit of credit back.

    A few more quick notes.

Fedex Ground sucks. They took way longer than projected and changed delivery info during transit. NOT URDs fault, they allow choice of shipping.

The URD Y pipe did not come with instructions, a schematic, nothing. The box contained the two part pipe system, the crush clamp, a sealed bag with the gaskets they suggest you order with it, a receipt/packing list, and a URD window sticker.

The old system is bolted on TIGHT. Take the O2 sensors out first, then you may need an impact wrench (you don't want the fragile sensors in there when you hit it with the wrench).

URD customer support and technical support is awesome. I called before ordering, and after install I had a few issues/questions and they were really cool about it and very helpful.

The pipe itself is pretty awesome. It is fairly simple, but that shows how well thought out it is, no Rube Golberg twists and turns, no extra parts to solve non existent issues. Craftsmanship and build quality are top notch. It is built of quality materials.

I was thinking about adding a resonator between the Y pipe and the muffler, but I am glad I did not. It is simply not needed. Maybe later if I go cat back or headers, but not now.
